Ok, honest confession time. Recently, I decided to become an Oriflame consultant because I remember that I used to like their products but I stopped buying them because it was a pain to pay the receipts and to receive the packages because of their system. But now, they upgraded their shipping and paying methods, so I can pay with a card and receive the packages in a locker near my home, so that’s convenient. Anyway, one of the extras I got when I placed my first order was a sample kit of the NovAge Ultimate Lift skin care routine. I’m not saying that I can review the products because they were only sachets good for one use, but at least I know what I would maybe purchase and what not.
Like the name says it, the Ultimate Lift line is an anti-aging one. All the products contain amino acids, which are integrated into the formula through the patented AspartoLift technology. The amino acids are supposed to help certain skin cells to synthetize elastin and thus helping the skin to become firmer.
Oriflame NovAge Ultimate Lift Supreme Cleansing Gel
It was a very gentle cleansing gel, that is supposed to also efficiently remove makeup. I liked how it felt on my skin and the fact that the skin didn’t feel dry after using it, but considering that a 150 ml bottle is sold for around 13.5 euros and I can get a big bottle of CeraVe for less than that…No thank you.
Oriflame NovAge Ultimate Lift Contour Define Eye Cream
It contains hyaluronic acid, caffeine and amino acids. Honestly, it seemed like a nice eye cream, but I can always get a cheaper one or I can use the face cream on the under eye area as well. The caffeine serum I have from Gerovital does the same for half the price.
Oriflame NovAge Ultimate Lift Contour Define Serum
The only thing that I find is better in this serum than in the ones I’m already using is the fact that it’s not as sticky as the Gerovital ones and it does make the skin feel smoother. I like it, but considering that it’s sold for around 26 euros, it’s more than I’m willing to pay for a face serum.
Oriflame NovAge Ultimate Lift Contour Define Day Cream SPF 15
First of all, the SPF is low. 15 is really like nothing. The formula also doesn’t seem to be that innovative. It contains amino acids, hyaluronic acids, shea butter and bees wax. It feels nice on the skin, but it’s not something that would make me want to purchase a full size jar.
Oriflame NovAge Ultimate Lift Contour Define Night Cream
Honestly, I think the formula is very similar to the day cream, so I don’t see why this is anything special. Also, it’s a rich cream, a little too heavy for my combination skin and I wouldn’t want to use it even as a night cream because it makes my skin look oily and it doesn’t absorb fast.
In conclusion, it’s not that I have something against the NovAge Ultimate Lift line but there are cheaper products, better products or cheaper AND better products available on the market and the sample kit didn’t even spark my interest to purchase any of the products.
