Gerocossen Laboratoires Manuka Bio 3 in 1 Micellar Water review

Gerocossen is another Romanian brand that I have used in the past, but that sort of fell of the map for me. Now, since I enjoyed more and more Romanian products, I picked this micellar water from the Dr. Max pharmacy because it has one of my favorite ingredients (honey) and because I want to use more Romanian cosmetics in my routine.

Gerocossen is a brand that was established in 1990, right after the end of the Communist regime and ever since then it produces all kinds of cosmetics in Bucharest. All of their products are cruelty free.

Packaging:

The micellar water comes in a plastic bottle with a dropper and it contains 300 ml. Since the main ingredient is honey, the label is designed with yellow and orange shades. It’s simple, but it’s somehow cute.

Texture:

It’s not an oily micellar water, so it looks and it feels just like water but it gets the job done to remove makeup.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids, Manuka honey, Punica granatum extract, Parfum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid.

The formula is quite basic, but I like the manuka honey and the pomegranate extract in it.

Price and accessibility:

Gerocossen products are available in the brand’s online shop, in several other online shops and in Dr. Max pharmacies as far as I could tell. I didn’t see them in supermarkets or in other beauty stores though. This micellar water is sold for around 3.5 euros, but they were having a sale in February at the pharmacy for Gerocossen products and I got it for only around 2.5 euros. It’s very affordable given the quantity.

My overall opinion:

I don’t have many things to say about a micellar water, but I like that it removes the makeup quite effectively, even the eye makeup and it doesn’t irritate the eyes. So, compared to other drugstore micellar waters, I can’t say that it’s my favorite, but it’s definitely a good one.
