Johnson’s Baby Lotion review

I know this isn’t a mommy blog, but hear me out. This baby lotion isn’t just for babies. I wanted a body lotion that was moisturizing enough but also gentle on the skin and I found this one that also comes in a huge bottle and I think it’s one of my favorites so far.

Packaging:

The body lotion comes in a very convenient bottle with a pump and it contains 500 ml. Also, I like the pink packaging because I tend to like girly things.

Texture:

The body lotion is not thick and it absorbs fast into the skin. It has a very light powdery scent that I could only describe as typical baby product scent. I also noticed that I like it because it’s a clean, fresh scent that I wouldn’t mind finding in a perfume if I’m perfectly honest.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 20, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Fragrance, Carbomer, P-Anisic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Titanium Dioxide

I actually like how they broke down the ingredients list on the brand’s website. The “star” ingredient listed for this lotion is the coconut oil. Other moisturizing ingredients are glycerin and Isopryl Palmitate, also derived from coconut. Also, they even list the fragrances used for the lotion: rose, jasmine, iris and musk. It’s a bit odd to find it in a product for babies, but as an adult I quite like it.

Price and accessibility:

Johnson’s products are widely available in all kinds of stores, pharmacies and online shops. I got mine from the Dr. Max pharmacy online shop for around 3 euros, which is more than affordable for such a big bottle.

My overall opinion:

I don’t think I am suitable to have an opinion on the suitability of this body lotion for babies, but for adults, I thinks it’s perfectly fine because it feels moisturizing, gentle and it has a light scent. In other words, I definitely will be using it again.
