First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads with Glycolic + Lactic Acids review

I tried exfoliating pads in the past and I like to apply exfoliating ingredients like this, because it’s easier than when using a toner, at least in my opinion. So, when I got this little try out sachet with 10 pads from First Aid Beauty, I was happy because it’s a very nice product to use.

Packaging:

These pads are available in a refillable jar, as a refill packet or as a travel-sized packet. The jar contains 60 pads, and the travel packet contains 28 pads. I have only 10 pads, so that’s why this is just a try out size, or a deluxe sample so to say. I think the travel-size is really nice because they’re easy to take on vacation and the sticker on the front sticks really good on the sachet, so the pads don’t dry out.

Texture:

The pads have two sides, one that has a rougher texture, which I like to use first, to exfoliate the skin and the other side is softer, so it’s good just to rub the serum into the skin.

Ingredients:

water/aqua/eau, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, cucumis sativus fruit extract, lactic acid, glycolic acid, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, chrysanthemum parthenium extract, sodium hydroxide, polysorbate 20, camellia sinensis leaf extract, glycyrrhiza glabra root extract, citrus nobilis fruit extract, citrus limon peel extract, hyaluronic acid, phyllanthus emblica fruit extract, edta, tetrasodium edta, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin

The key ingredients listed on the brand’s website are glycolic acid, lactic acid, lemon peel, cucumber water and Indian gooseberry. Also, there is aloe leaf juice, green tea extract and hyaluronic acid. So, a lot of good things for the skin to treat dullness, acne, large pores and hyper pigmentation.

Price and accessibility:

First Aid Beauty products are available in Romania at Sephora and in several online shops. These pads (the standard full-sized jar) are sold for 38 US dollars in the brand’s online shop. It’s not exactly a very expensive product, but it’s also not an affordable one, because they last for one month, maximum two, if you use them only once a day.

My overall opinion:

On the packaging it says to use the pads on clean skin twice a day, but I use them only in the evening because I know the skin is more sensitive when using exfoliating acids, especially when exposed to the sun. And now we’re having a heat wave, so it’s sunny and dry and hot outside. But, even when used just once a day, I can see that the skin looks more radiant and it doesn’t feel dry. I like the pads, but the price is a little bit high for my skin care budget. But, if they were let’s say half the price, I would probably commit to a full-sized jar.
