I was scared at first to try a product like that, but after a little research and after I got a face cream with SPF 50 (more on that in a later post), I decided to give it a try. Although, I’m still not a Revolution Beauty stan because of their way of copying things and because their products are just hits and misses.
Packaging:

The solution comes in a glass bottle with a dropper that contains 30 ml (like any other face serum or skin care treatment) and the cardboard packaging is red. Also, it comes with a pamphlet with a lot of information.
Texture:
I think The Ordinary has a peeling solution that is red, so of course, this one is red as well. And it does have a scent that is a little bit weird.
Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER, EAU), PROPANEDIOL, LACTIC ACID, GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS FRUIT EXTRACT, GLYCOLIC ACID, SALICYLIC ACID, SACCHARUM OFFICINARUM (SUGARCANE) EXTRACT, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, DAUCUS CAROTA SATIVA (CARROT) EXTRACT, XANTHAN GUM, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) FRUIT EXTRACT, CITRUS LIMONUM FRUIT EXTRACT (CITRUS MEDICA LIMONUM (LEMON) FRUIT EXTRACT), ACER SACCHARUM (SUGAR MAPLE) EXTRACT, DISODIUM EDTA, TASMANNIA LANCEOLATA FRUIT/LEAF EXTRACT.
The key ingredients in the formula are lactic acid, fruit acids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid and glycerin. This means 10% AHAs and 1% BHAs. Also, the formula is vegan and cruelty free.
Price and accessibility:
Revolution Beauty products are available in several beauty shops and online store. This particular solution is sold for around 9 euros, so it’s an affordable skin care product.
My overall opinion:
So it’s been a few weeks since I’ve been using the solution according to the instructions. This means to use it at night, only 1-2 per week, because it is an intensive peeling solution. Also, it’s important to use sunscreen in the morning (I mean, it’s important either way but the acids are causing skin sensitivity). So that’s what I did and I noticed that the skin texture definitely has some improvements but that also because of the sun exposure because my skin always looks nicer in the summer when I get a bit of tan. Sun has that affect on me, in small doses.
Other than that, it doesn’t irritate my skin or anything, so that’s great. I will be using it until I finish the bottle, but I don’t know if I will repurchase it just because the skin gets a bit drier once autumn and winter come rolling in and I will probably opt for a gentler peeling gel or something like that. For the price, it’s a nice peeling solution, but I can’t say that I notice any remarkable effects.
