BetterStyle Argan Queen Shampoo review

Welcome to the 12547 episode of my quest of finding a nice shampoo for my hair. I got a catalogue from a friend who sells BetterStyle products (yeah, I know, I know, another MLM bla bla bla) and I decided to try this shampoo that is supposed to be for all hair types. So let’s see how that went.

Packaging:

For one, I do like the packaging because it’s a bottle with a pump and I always find that it’s handy to have these types of products in the shower. The bottle contains 200 ml. The blue label is designed that way because the shampoo is part of the Blue Nature cosmetics line.

Texture:

This shampoo was very funny because it was more like a liquid than like a shampoo and it also doesn’t make any foam which is not a nice feeling. I had to use like 10 pumps of this for one wash and I know that maybe it’s because it’s supposed to be SLS free and SLES free but if that means not feeling the product on my fingers when I try to wash my hair, it’s a no from me. It’s a clear liquid with a bit of a scent, which I think it’s from the argan oil.

Ingredients:

I couldn’t find the ingredients list and I’m too lazy to write it from the label, but it contains argan oil, aloe vera juice, coffee extract, cocoa extract, vanilla extract and vitamin E. It all sounded so nice when I read the description so that’s why I got the shampoo in the first place.

Price and accessibility:

BetterStyle products are available through their consultants only. This shampoo was around 4.5 euros, but I think now they hiked the price up at about 6 euros. It’s not one of the cheapest but it’s also not that expensive.

My overall opinion:

I didn’t like the fact that the shampoo looks just like a clear liquid and I felt like I couldn’t wash my hair properly. Also, it sits on my bath tub after two uses, because it made my hair really oily. I thought that because it’s a shampoo for all hair types I could use it even if contains argan oil that I know is good for dry hair. So, unfortunately, this might be a good match for someone who has dry and thick hair, but for my fine oily hair it was a disaster. My hair looked like I hadn’t washed it at all, especially at the roots.

Luckily, I did discover a shampoo that I love and it’s a surprising find, but more on that soon.
