Since I do like to bitch and moan about shampoos that are all crappy in my opinion, let’s say a few nice things about a shampoo that I do like. And even better, it’s a drugstore brand that is really affordable. I got the shampoo first and I loved it, so I purchased the conditioner as well. There is also a hair mask from the same range, but I didn’t come across it so I use just these two products for now.
Packaging:
Both the shampoo and the conditioner are available in plastic bottles that contain 250 ml (the shampoo) and 200 ml (the conditioner). There are also larger bottles available, but the regular size is the one that can be found in most supermarkets and beauty stores.
Texture:
The shampoo has a thick consistency, like a gel and a strong dark yellow color. It kind of looks like honey. The conditioner is yellow as well, but it looks like a cream, just like most conditioners. They both have a delicious scent, like honey, but also with notes of caramel in it that reminds me of gingerbread. It smells yummy and I love it.

Price and accessibility:
Garnier products are available pretty much everywhere, in beauty stores, pharmacies, online stores and even in supermarkets. They are also very affordable, even cheap I would say. For example, I got the shampoo and the conditioner for about 2 euros each from the Penny supermarket (granted, they were on sale). But even so, They are sold for about 3 – 3.5 euros. I think only the hair mask is a little bit more expensive.
My overall opinion:
I like the Ginger Recovery line because it makes the hair look shiny and healthy and because it gives volume to thin hair. Also, the delicious scent is a plus for me. I admit, they don’t wonders on the hair because I still need to wash my hair every second day or it will look oily, but you can’t have it all for that price. It’s a very nice drugstore shampoo that I will probably use for some time. I already got a backup on the shampoo because I’m halfway through the first bottle, so, for me, it’s a big plus if it’s something that I’m willing to repurchase when it comes to hair care if you have thin, fine, dull hair like me, I would say it’s definitely worth trying these Garnier products.
