If I remember correctly, I don’t think that I was ever particularly impressed about Peter Thomas Roth products, but I have to say, this one ended up in the trash bin, even if I don’t usually throw away expensive skin care samples.
Packaging:
Even though I have only a sample size of this product, the packaging is exactly the same. The full size product also comes in a black plastic tube and it comes in various sizes: 15 ml, 30 ml and 90 ml. Considering that this is a treatment for the eye area, I will mention the 30 ml size in this review, because it’s probably the most common product available.
Texture:
This eye treatment looks just like a serum and it also just as sticky as one. You have to pat it fast on to the skin, or it hardens and then you can’t move it around more and it leaves white streaks behind.
Ingredients:
- Water/Aqua/Eau

I won’t go much into detail with the ingredients because honestly I don’t care and I will detail this when I will tell you about my experience with this product.
Price and accessibility:
Peter Thomas Roth products are available in certain pharmacies, beauty shops and in several online shops. This particular products is sold on the brand’s online shop for 38 US dollars for the 30 ml tube. It’s not cheap but it’s also not that expensive because you only need a very little amount for the eye area.
My overall opinion:
I used this product only twice. I tried it once and I didn’t like it, but I wanted to give it another try. It was worse and so I tossed it because I don’t ever want to use it again. This is supposed to tighten the skin in the eye area and make the fine lines and wrinkles magically disappear at least until you remove it. But to be honest, to me this treatment or serum or whatever it want to be felt just like glue on my skin. It dries very fast when you apply it and I always had tiny white streaks on the cheek bones because you could see where the product was applied and where it wasn’t. I felt like I had a mask on, like something would forcefully hold my skin tight. I didn’t like the feeling at all because I was always aware that it’s there. Furthermore, since I do get teary eyes especially if it’s windy outside, I would have these white flakes at the corners of my eyes because the product was most likely disintegrating in contact with water.
All in all, I think this is just a gimmicky product and I don’t think it even made that much of the difference to make it worth to bare with it. So, since I couldn’t bring myself to use a sample that I got in a beauty box, you can imagine how much I hated to use. Therefore, I’m sorry to say, but I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone.

Love love love it! It is the best eye tightener I have ever tried. I’m 47 years old with a 4 year old daughter. She always tells me I have circles under my eyes. Not anymore thanks to PTR. With a little practice, there are no white streaks. It’s great!

You have to apply a very thin layer of it. I apply to my ring fingertip and then touch my ring finger tips together slightly rubbing together and then apply in a circular motion toward the inner eye then up and around the eye area keeping it out of my eye. If it’s thin enough it will cover and tighten well without the streaks. If you see streaks you have applied too much product. You can mix it in with concealer, primer, and eye cream before application. Once it has dried I apply my moisturizer and the stickiness goes away. I use the water drench hyaluronic cloud cream by them. Lees is more with these products, plus you will not waste it.

This product works using silicates. You have to use a tiny tiny amount and you have to apply it fast. It is temporary but effective. If you can feel it or see it you have used too much. But it will flake off after time so it is not for everyone. It’s basically the same thing as plexaderm.

I love it. You have to apply it very sparingly. It’s a very cost effective since you use so little. I’ve applied it by itself, with moisturizer and with a full face. I’ve yet to see any issues using it. For the record I’ve only had it maybe two weeks and no issues to date. I’ve seen a huge improvement around my eyes and forehead using this product…
