Since today’s post will be the last for this year because tomorrow I’ll be celebrating New Year’s and drinking champaign and stuffing myself with some delicious goodies, I figured why not end it with a bang? So today, may I present you a lipstick that has gone straight to my to-go must have products list. I don’t know what it is, but I’m all about matte lipsticks now and I find myself reaching for them instead of regular lipsticks and glosses.
Packaging:
The plastic tube has a color similar to what is in it, so it makes it easier to spot something you like. It also has a nice sponge applicator that has a shape that makes it very easy to apply. It does contain only 5 ml, which I think it’s too little considering that L’Oreal products have become expensive for drugstore cosmetics.
Texture:

The lipstick has a very creamy texture because it’s enriched with hyaluronic acid and it needs to dry for a minute or so because it becomes matte on the lips. I have the shade 105 Breakfast In Bed, which I thought was a nude color, but it’s more like a cool-toned mauve shade. But it suits my pale skin tone so I love it.

Price and accessibility:
L’Oreal products are available in most beauty stores and online shops. I got mine from my local DM store and I got it half off because I had a coupon for it. Normally it’s sold for around 15.5 euros. Like I said, the prices have gone up for L’Oreal cosmetics. However, they’re a little cheaper online.
My overall opinion:
I’ve seen mixed reviews on this one because some people say it emphasizes fine lines and it doesn’t last for long, others say it’s amazing. I’m with the second group on this one. It doesn’t make my lips look like a butthole (which some matte lipsticks tend to do) and it stays all day. And I mean really all day. It wears a little off on glasses, cups and so on, but it is kiss-proof (unless you’re planning a heavy duty kissing session). I put it on in the morning (two layers because that’s what I usually do) and then I went to a Christmas fair, I ate something at the mall (fries and mozzarella sticks, they were delicious and I regret nothing) and I also had a soda and a gingerbread latte (I wish they made those all year long). And the lipstick was still on. True, it didn’t look like fresh applied but there was definitely color on my lips. Plus, the contour doesn’t smudge.
So yes, I would definitely recommend this liquid lipstick and it is so far the best I have tried so far in terms of long-lasting matte lipsticks.

One response to “L’Oreal Infaillible Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick review”
[…] one other liquid lipstick in my collection, from L’Oreal (yay to sister-brands, right?), the Infaillible Matte Resistance one, I have to compare the two. To be honest, I think the Maybelline one is better, not just […]
