Styledry Prep & Prime Polishing Primer

It’s so weird to kick of the new year on my blog with something so not exciting. This hair product came to my hands through my Lookfantastic subscription box and I have to say I’m getting tired of all the hair styling and hair treatments and so on because none of the ones I tried so far were any good. Better put some shampoo and conditioner in there and call it a day.

Styledry is a hair care brand created by twin sisters Evelien and Annelie, but that’s about the extent of information I have so far. So I’m guessing it’s a new brand and probably that’s why I haven’t heard of it.

Packaging:

The product comes in a plastic tube that is very bright and colorful. The full size contains 100 ml, but I had a travel size that contained 50 ml. The packaging is exactly the same for both sizes.

Texture:

It looks like a thick white cream, just like a hair conditioner and it was a very yummy scent, a mixture of pineapple and coconut. Because it even says so on the packaging, so there’s no surprise there.

Ingredients:

I couldn’t find the ingredients list for this and I was too lazy to write it by hand, but the key ingredient is horsetail extract, which I know is a plant very good for hair growth.

Price and accessbility:

Styledry products are not available here in Romania and on the brand’s online shop it says that they ship to Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. But I’m assuming that it can also be ordered through the Lookfantastic website. The price for the full size product is 19.95 euros, which is not that expensive, if it were an amazing product.

My overall opinion:

I tried following the directions and it says that you should apply on wet or dry hair, on the scalp and through the hair, especially on the hair ends. I didn’t try it on dry hair because my hair is oily enough, I don’t need an extra cream on it, but on wet hair I tried it before shampoo (because it says prep and prime on it right?) and after shampooing but to be honest, I really couldn’t notice any difference. Therefore, I just see it as a pointless product. It’s not bad in any ways, but I couldn’t notice that I made a difference for my hair.
