Mincer Pharma Boto Lift face creams review

Normally, a sane person wouldn’t change their skincare routine because what I had going on now was all good, but I’m not normal. I’m just too damn curious, so when I saw these creams half off at the Dr. Max pharmacy, I wanted to try them. Also, because it’s winter and it’s cold outside (granted, not as cold as I would expect it to be), I figured I would need a richer daily moisturizer than the light formula that the Mayie one has. So, let’s see how the creams work. I started to use them right since New Year’s, so now it’s been a couple of weeks.

Mincer Pharma is a cosmetics brand that it’s all about Swiss formulas and so on, but in fact they are made in Poland, so make of that what you want. Personally, I think it’s a bit deceiving, like those cosmetics that are made in China but “designed” in other countries. Just say what you are, why hide under a company that has only their headquarters in Western Europe or in the US.

Mincer Pharma Boto Lift Moisturising & Firming Day Cream

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a glass jar and it contains 50 ml. It looks a little fancy, not gonna lie, since usually affordable face creams are packed in plastic jars.

Texture:

The day face cream does have a thicker consistency, but it does still absorb easily into the skin. It’s also scented, so that might be a problem for sensitive people.

Ingredients:

Aqua/ Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Isostearate, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Isohexadecane, Petrolatum, Laureth-3, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Benzophenone-3, Sodium Polyacrylate, Panthenol, Allantoin, PEG-8, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Parfum, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool.

I can’t say I’m too crazy about the ingredients, but I do see things in here that I know have anti-aging properties, including the natural stuff such as the grape seed oil or the macadamia oil.

Price and accessibility:

Mincer Pharma products are available in Dr. Max pharmacies and in several online shops. Normally, this face cream costs about 10 euros, but I got it for 5 euros, so that’s why I thought it was a bargain.

My overall opinion:

For a day face cream it’s ok, especially during the winter since my skin tends to get a little dry in the mouth and nose area, but I wouldn’t use it during summer because it’s too rich for my skin type. I have to say, that the description on the Dr. Max website was misleading because it said it’s suitable for all skin types, but when I got it, I saw that it’s for normal and dry skin (which I don’t have). So, it’s just the product’s fault that it’s not as suitable for me because it was not meant for oily or combination skin.

Mincer Pharma Boto Lift Nourishing Night Cream – Mask

Packaging:

This face cream also comes in a glass jar that contains 50 ml.

Texture:

It has a very thick consistency, more like a face mask, so even if I use just a little bit, it still makes my face look oily and that’s a look that I don’t like. Luckily, it’s in the evening so I don’t care that much. This one is also scented.

Ingredients:

Aqua/Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Isopropyl Myristate, Paraffin Wax, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Beeswax, Laureth-3, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester, Magnesium Sulfate, PEG-8, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, Parfum, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Benzoate Geraniol,Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool.

There are some nice ingredients like the glycerin, the Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 (a cell-communicating ingredient), the tocopherol (antioxidant), the ascorbic acid (skin brightening ingredient) and sodium lactate (moisturizer).

Price and accessibility:

This face cream is also sold for around 10 euros and I got it for around 5 euros. So that’s why it was such a deal, because I got 2 face creams for the price of 1.

My overall opinion:

This face cream is definitely too heavy for me and it’s also meant for dry skin. I hate it that most anti-aging skin care is targeted towards dry skin. Not all old people have dry skin. I’m 37 and I’m no spring chicken but I really don’t have dry skin or hair or anything.

So, bottom line is that I’m not the best person to review these face creams because I thought I was getting two anti-aging products that were meant for all skin types, but I got two anti-aging products for dry or normal skin at the most. I think they would be nice for people with that skin type, but if you’re like me and you have oily or combination skin, I would stay away from them.
