Used-up and tested #53 – beauty products leaving my collection

It’s time again to do a quick recap of some of the products that I’ve used over the months of December 2023 and January 2024 and that I didn’t consider worth reviewing. There are just a few and even so it took two months to gather them because I’ve been using the same stuff as before and I reviewed new things that seemed interesing.

Bath and body empties

Mysu Apple & Cinnamon shower gel – it was an interesting Christmasy scent, but I can’t say that the shower gel seemed more interesting than others that I’ve used so far. Mysu are known mostly for their perfumes, so this is just an extension to their scented products line.

Nabulsi Amber Body Wash – to be honest, it was a crappy liquid soap and I didn’t like the smell. I also had their Alep handmade soap and it smelled just like those soaps that my grandma use to make to wash clothes (because during the Communist era in Romania even laundry detergent was considered a luxury and people needed to make their own concoctions).

This Works Stress Check Mood Manager – just an aromatherapy spray that I got in my Lookfantastic box. I didn’t like it because I find that This Works go heavy on lavender in their products and it’s not a scent that I’m keen on.

Suda Care feet cream – I expected it to be more nourishing for a feet cream, especially since I do use some Suda Care products to treat a foot nail mycosis and they work great so far. The feet cream was underwhelming.

Biobaza Silky Comfort Deo Roll-on with argan and jojoba oil – a natural deodorant that smells very nice but unfortunately is not strong enough in my opinion.

Makeup empties

Yves Rocher Intense Metamorphose Mascara – I had this mascara before, only this was in a limited edition packaging. I’m not impressed with it and it’s too expensive for what it does. I love my cheap Catrice mascara much more.

Oriflame Expert Care Miraculous Nail Serum – a nail serum with grape seed oil (it does smell yummy). I liked it and I would repurchase it again for my cuticles.

Beauty samples

Biobalance Hello Clean Nourishing Cleasning Balm with sqalane – it was only a sachet, bot I liked it more than high end cleansing balms (I’m looking at you Emma Hardie). It’s very gently and non-irritating on the eyes.

Biobalance Pure Vitamin C Superserum – I used it only once, but it did wonders on my skin. I looked glowy and the skin felt very soft and smooth. I liked it, I may be interested to buy the full size.

Gerovital AHA Complex Exfoliating shower gel – I used it only on my legs because it was such a small sample, but my skin was so smooth after the shower that I didn’t need to apply lotion afterwards. I want to get it in full size, but I didn’t came across it so far.

That was it so far, some far hits, some were misses, but of all the products that I tried, I liked the ones that I sampled more than the rest. Plus the nail serum from Oriflame, that was also very nice.
