BioBalance Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide face serums review

I decided to do my review on both face serums because I started to use them at the same time, so I don’t know how I could separate the effects they have on my skin. These are the final BioBalance products that I have from the order I placed online a few weeks ago. I use them both, alternating between them each evening. Since they are both acids, I don’t use them in the morning, even if the salicylic acid one can be used in the morning as well.

BioBalance BETA Solution Pure Salicylic Acid 2% Superserum

Packaging:

The serum comes in a dark glass bottle with dropper and it contains 30 ml. It’s the usual quantity for face serums and I appreciate the dark glass to preserve the serum from the action of light. The dropper also works very well.

Texture:

It looks like a clear liquid, but it does feel a little bit oily on the skin. It does absorb fast though.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Propanediol, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Polysorbate 20, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate.

There’s not much to say about this serum, as the key ingredient is the salicylic acid. It’s good for acne, excess sebum and dark spots. It doesn’t contains perfume, alcohol, mineral oils, silicone or gluten.

Price and accessibility:

BioBalance products are available in certain pharmacies and it several online shops. I got mine for around 11 euros, and since I use it only every other evening, it will last me for quite some time.

My overall opinion:

I do feel like it does a good job against acne and white heads, but I still get dark head on my nose and it seems I can’t get rid of them no matter what I do.

BioBalance Niacinamide-G Superserum with Niacinamide 15% and Glycolic Acid 5%

Packaging:

Like the other serum, it comes in a dark glass bottle with a dropper and it contains 30 ml.

Texture:

It also has the same texture because it’s a clear serum that feels a little bit oily on the skin.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Glycolic Acid, Panthenol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Xanthan Gum, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate.

The key ingredients are niacinamide and glycolic acid (which are also present in high dosages), and it doesn’t contain perfume, alcohol, mineral oils, silicone or gluten.

Price and accessibility:

This face serum is also available in pharmacies and online shops and I got it for around 14 euros. It was a little bit more expensive, but since I also use it just every other evening it’s worth it.

My overall opinion:

This is a stronger acid and it took my skin some time to get use to it. During the first week I felt a little tingling sensation on the skin after using it and I almost gave up on it, but then, that feeling disappeared and my skin doesn’t have any of those reactions. And, since I know my skin loves niacinamide, I’m glad that I have this serum in my skin care routine.

I don’t know if I will use them all the time, because I will stay away from acids during the summer, but I do like the face serums from BioBalance and I can really see how they’re doing something for my skin. Maybe it’s the concentration of the active ingredients, I don’t know, but I used other face serums in the past that weren’t really doing something for my skin and these do something. So yes, I would recommend BioBalance products after using two face serums, a face cream and that gold serum for the eye area. They’re affordable and effective, so I would continue to use them.
