Gerovital H3 Evolution Anti-Wrinkle Cream Concentrated with Hyaluronic Acid review

Despite Farmec products not being perfect or ideal in my opinion, it’s still one of the few Romanian brands that I love. Perhaps because they have been around so much that they were used by our mothers and even grandmothers or because they like to keep it simple and not use all those fancy natural extracts that are most likely not that amazing but sound good, but I like to use some of their products. Especially when I find them on sale. This was also the case with this hyaluronic acid anti-aging face cream. I mean, it’s hyaluronic acid, one of the best and most common ingredients in cosmetics nowadays, so you can’t go wrong with that.

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a glass jar, which is a nice touch since most Farmec face creams come in plastic jars. it contains 50 ml and it has a simple design, with white and pink and gold writing.

Texture:

It’s a a face cream with a light texture and it is scented, so it may be a problem for those with sensitive skin. I don’t mind it. It absorbs fast into the skin and it feels very nice, dare I even say luxurious even.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Squalane, Sucrose Polystearate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, Tripeptide-1, Lecithin, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Artemia Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Trideceth-6, Glucosyl Ceramide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Parfum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, BHA, Superoxide Dismutase, Pentylene Glycol, Tromethamine

The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid, trylagen (a combination of active peptides and proteins that boost collagen), GP4G (an aquatic energizing and protective plankton extract that helps the skin absorb environmental aging shocks) and SOD (superoxide dismutase, an anti-aging and antioxidant ingredient). Not too shabby for a drugstore brand, isn’t it?

Price and accessibility:

Farmec products (the company that produces the Gerovital brand) are available in beauty stores, pharmacies, online shops and through their own webshop. This face cream is usually available for around 10 euros, but I got it on sale from the Dr. Max pharmacy for around 6.5 euros, which I think is a very good price for a good face cream.

My overall opinion:

I don’t think I’ve used anything from the H3 Evolution line, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this face cream. It hydrates, it leaves the skin soft and supple and it’s not one of those rich face creams that make my combination skin looks shiny. I use it in the evening, but there wouldn’t be a problem to use it in the morning as well.

If you have the opportunity and you see Gerovital skin care products somewhere, give them a try, I think you wouldn’t regret it. As for this face cream, I think it’s suitable for all skin types (maybe except for the sensitive skin because of the fragrance), and for those concerned about preventing wrinkles and fine lines.
