Helia Hydrating and Anti-aging Face Cream review

After I started using that face serum with gold flakes from BioBalance I was on a gold kick and I started to look into skin care products that have that ingredient. So, I saw this face cream in the Dr. Max pharmacy online shop and I decided to try it.

Aghoras is a company that makes all kinds of products that contain colloidal silver (even drinking water), so they seem to have branched out into skin care products as well. I don’t know much about them but it’s a Romanian company and I like to support businesses from my own country.

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a plastic tube, which is not my favorite type of packaging as I prefer jars or bottles with pumps, but it also contains 75 ml, which is a generous amount.

Texture:

The face cream does feel just a little bit oily, but a little goes a long way and you don’t need much. Also, it’s not as oily to make the skin shiny and I like to use it in the evening. It also has a scent, because it contains essential oils, but the scent is rather pleasant.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Aurum Metallicum,  Platinum Metallicum, Argentum Metallicum,  Argania Spinosa Seed Oil, Persea gratissima Oil, Olea Europaea Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Essential Oils, Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E),  Magnolol, Honokiol, Sodium Levulinate (natural preservants), Olive Oil Polyglyceryl-6, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Cetearyl Alcohol

The key ingredients are also listed on the packaging: argan oil, magnolia extract, aloe vera gel, gold, silver and platinum. It doesn’t have any shimmery particles in it, but it does have a luxurious feel.

Price and accessibility:

The face cream is available in several online pharmacies and online shops specialized in providing all kinds of products that contain natural ingredients. It’s sold for around 7 euros, which, considering the ingredients and the quantity, is more than a fair price.

My overall opinion:

After using it for a couple of weeks now in the evening, I have to say the skin does feel very supple and smooth and it’s suitable even for the skin around the eye area. To be honest, it does feel like like a face cream that would cost ten times as much, but it’s affordable. Since it doesn’t have any SPF, I don’t use it during the day, but I think it would make a nice pair with my favorite Mayie SPF face cream.

All I can say is that I’m just so excited when I find these little gems regarding skin care because the prices have gone up like crazy for most foreign drugstore skin care brands.
