My experience with Chogan perfumes

Like any cheapskate, I tried to find all kinds of replicas for expensive perfumes. Because the thing is that I like expensive perfumes, I just don’t like having to pay the high price tag. I tired Arabian perfumes and I did liked them a lot, but they’re still not the real deal and while the longevity is very good, they are a bit heavy especially during the summer season.

So, now I came upon Chogan perfumes. These perfumes are made in Italy and it’s an MLM company (I know, I know, we don’t like those, whatever). They have the exact same packaging so you have to keep the cardboard outer packaging just to know which kind of perfume you have. The bottles are nice and all, but it would be helpful if they were making them a bit more different.

The girl I bought them from had this big case with sample bottles and I swear that when I smelled those it was like smelling the real perfumes because I tried perfumes that I already had and that I knew very well. So, I dared to chose two perfume replicas that I always wanted to try, one is Mon Paris by YSL (or number 389 in the Chogan catalogue) and the other is L’Interdit by Givenchy (number 3121).

The perfumes for being just replicas are not that cheap. I got two 35 ml bottles because I didn’t want to spend too much on the big 100 ml bottles. These were around 15 euros each, and I say they’re a bit expensive just because they’re small bottles.

Now, my main complaint is that what I got in the bottles is not what I smelled from the samples case. These are similar to the original, but they’re not perfect dupes. Plus, the longevity just isn’t there. Even if they call them “extrait de parfum”, which means that they should be highly concentrated.

So, the Mon Paris dupe does smell floral and delicate, and the L’Interdit one is more sexy and sultry, but they’re not the same. I still use them because they’re ok for day to day but I think I will go through them quickly because they’re small bottles. Therefore, I think that this will be my first and my last experience with Chogan perfumes. I would have been better off to take the 30 euros that I spent for two bottles and get just one perfume that I would have liked much more.

I’m not trying to be mean or to advise someone against these perfumes, but be aware that you will not get a perfect replica. As far as I can tell, there are no real dupes, high end perfumes are expensive for a reason and they can’t be replicated by cheaper brands. That’s just my opinion after the experiences that I had so far. For me, I prefer to save money and buy an expensive perfume to have for special occasions and I’ll stick with plain old drugstore perfumes for everyday use.
