Revuele Vitamin C Eye Contour Fluid review

Maybe I don’t do unboxings on the blog anymore because I think they’re kind of boring, but I do get beauty boxes now and then whenever I see something interesting. This time, I got a BUZZBox for the first time. BUZZBox is a Romanian influencer box so to say, because you get to buy it at a lower price than what the products are actually worth, but in exchange you also have to do some social media posts about it. It’s a box that contains beauty products, home care products, life style products and even some food items like sweets, condiments or beverages.

Anyway, I got the box of June because for 20 euros I got 14 items and I think that’s a good deal. Whenever I buy a box I do it if I know I want at least half of the items in it. To be honest, I got this box just for the beauty items because they were plenty. They are also the only ones I’ll review on my blog, of course.

Revuele is a Bulgarian beauty company that I’ve heard of but I’ve never tried any products from them. I saw them in pharmacies and in several online shops, so I was eager to try this eye contour fluid (it’s an eye gel really) with vitamin C because I look tired as hell these days since the heat wave started and I can’t get any good night’s sleep.

Packaging:

The eye fluid comes in a plastic tube and it contains 25 ml, which is a little bit larger quantity than in the case of most eye products. The packaging is white and yellow, as all their lines have different colors. This is part of the vitamin C line, so that’s why it’s yellow.

Texture:

Like I said, this fluid is actually an eye gel and it also feels cooling especially if you keep it in the fridge. It’s clear and it doesn’t have a scent as far as I can tell.

Ingredients:

Water / Aqua, Glycerin, Vitamin C / Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Pectin, Proline, Serine, Arginine, Glucose, Butylene Glycol, Carrageenan Еxtract / Chondrus Crispus Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caffeine, Vitamin B3 / Niacinamide, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Fragrance / Parfum, Disodium EDTA.

Some ingredients on this list are very nice, like the vitamin C, serine, arginine, caffeine and the niacinamide. I’m surprised about the fragrance because I didn’t smell any scent, but it’s at the bottom of the list, so I don’t think it’s irritating. I noticed that I have a sensitive eye are and I didn’t have any problems when I used this product.

Price and accessibility:

Revuele products are available in pharmacies, in DM and Douglas stores and in online shops. The people from BUZZBox didn’t give any retail price for this eye fluid, but it’s sold for a price between 3 and 5 euros, depending on the retailer. I would say it’s worth somewhere in the middle, because it’s not one of the best eye creams, but at least it comes in a good amount of product.

My overall opinion:

I must say, after a week of using this eye contour fluid, I can’t say that I noticed anything exceptional in the eye area, but it does have a light cooling effect, so it helps to depuff the eyes. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any brightening in the eye area, but I think a product can only do so much when I look and feel like a zombie. Let’s just say it’s a nice drugstore eye gel, I’ve used better and I also used worst. At least it doesn’t feel sticky on the skin and I didn’t have any problems to apply makeup over it.
