Wet Brush Shine Enhancer, a game changer for frizzy hair

I usually don’t review anything other than cosmetics and makeup products, but this time, I had to give this beautiful hair brush its time to shine. Because it’s a shine enhancer, get it?

Of course, I know about the brand Wet Brush because I haven’t been living under a rock, but I always thought that a hair brush is just a hair brush and that’s it. Sure, some have larger bristles, others have thinner bristles that are also dense, but overall, I would just use whatever hair brush I would have on hand and I would replace it every 2-3 years.

But recently, I had a coupon for 25% off on any type of Wet Brush in DM stores and since it’s been a while since I had been using a hair brush that I got also at the DM store in Vienna when I was on vacation there, it was about time to see what the fuss was about Wet Brush.

I chose the shine enhancer because I do like to have shiny hair and because it was so cute and mauve. I would have preferred to get the pink one, but I didn’t see it so I got the mauve one instead.

IntelliFlex bristles are combined with natural boar bristles to reduce frizz and to distribute the hair’s natural oils for a smooth and shiny finish.

So, I tried the brush when my hair was still wet, which found have been usually impossible to brush because I have very fine hair and it gets tangles easily. What do you know, it actually does the job and it does detangle the hair nice and painless. I won’t say that there weren’t any hairs left on the brush, but I think it was just a normal amount of hair that I always lose when I wash my hair and other than that, it wasn’t difficult to brush through the hair.

Then, when it was dry, the hair did look shinier than usual to be honest, which was also a nice surprise. Also, no frizz. And I didn’t even use a special product, just regular shampoo (including solid shampoo) and no conditioner. Even so, the hair was shiny and smooth without the usual frizz. In addition, I think it helps to add some volume. I don’t know why or how, but my hair just looks better since I started to use this hair brush.

It’s sold for around 9 euros in DM stores, but I got it on sale. It’s also available for less in several online shops. But, even if I would have paid full price for it, I wouldn’t be sorry, because this simple hair brush is a real game changer for me and I’m switching to Wet Brush products for good. And no, I no longer think that any hair brush will do and that it doesn’t matter which one I use. I also saw some that are infused with green tea or charcoal and now I’m intrigued. If ever see those on sale, I will definitely get them.
