Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Intense Moisturizing Care Day/Night Cream & Night Mask review

The last time I placed an order from the Yves Rocher website, I was almost out of night cream, so I picked this one because I felt like my skin needed more hydration and it was a good deal because this is a multitasking product. It can be used as day cream, as night cream or as a night mask (which is basically just a night cream, let’s be honest).

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a cute blue glass jar and it contains 75 ml, which is already 50% more than the usual face cream that contain just 50 ml. This baby blue color is particular to the Hydra vegetal range because it’s aimed at skin hydration.

Texture:

I like the texture of this cream very much because it’s not light like a gel but it’s also not thick, so it fully absorbs into the skin. The skin feels soft and smooth after I apply it and it also has a discreet scent.

Ingredients:

AQUA/WATER/EAU • CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE • DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE • GLYCERIN • DIGLYCERIN • PENTYLENE GLYCOL • C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES • SQUALANE • BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER • C20-22 ALKYL PHOSPHATE • C20-22 ALCOHOLS • CETYL ALCOHOL • POLYACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER-6 • STEARYL ALCOHOL • TOCOPHERYL ACETATE • CARPOBROTUS EDULIS EXTRACT • STEARYL HEPTANOATE • PARFUM/FRAGRANCE • HYDROXYACETOPHENONE • ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN • STEARYL CAPRYLATE • SODIUM HYDROXIDE • ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER • HYALURONIC ACID • SODIUM HYALURONATE • TRISODIUM ETHYLENEDIAMINE DISUCCINATE • BENZYL ALCOHOL • CITRIC ACID • TOCOPHEROL |

The key ingredients in this is the edulis extract (it’s a mushroom by the way, because I have to look that up and it’s supposed to help maintain moisture into the skin), shea butter, aloe leaf juice and powder and hyaluronic acid.

Price and accessibility:

Yves Rocher products are available in store and in the brand’s online shop. This face cream is sold for around 24 euros, which is a lot, but you can often buy it on sale or even receive it s a gift with purchase. I got it for 50% off. At the moment, it’s sold at 21% off, so it’s not as bad.

My overall opinion:

I know many people like to shit on this brand (pardon my language but that’s true) because they say they have overpriced products, but there are many things from this brand I do like and I think are worth the money. I use this face cream in the evening so the jar will last me for a long time, and I like how my skin looks in the morning. It does a very good job at hydrating and soothing the skin and to be honest, I already have it in mind to purchase a new one because they sent me a 50% off code for the entire purchase on the website and I intend to use it.

So yes, normally I wouldn’t pay more than 20 euros for a face cream, no matter how good it is, but since there is always the possibility to get some good deals on the website or in the Yves Rocher stores, I would say that this face cream is worth it. So no, I don’t have anything to gain from promoting the brand or anything, but this face cream is a good match for all skin types and I think it’s a very nice skin care product.
