Usually I tend not to review brands that are exclusively found at DM (Drogherie Markt) stores because I know they are not available outside of Europe, but since I got this app that is used to scan products to see how good or bad they are (I use the INCI Beauty app – no paid promotion or anything), I think that these are products that we shouldn’t sleep on. I mean, for now I have to be on a budget when it comes to beauty purchases because I have some financial issues, so there’s no reason to buy expensive skin care if these are all products that are very affordable and that are also very good.
Alverde Naturkosmetik is a German beauty brand that is available exclusively in DM stores and that is focused on skin care, makeup and bath and body products that contain mostly natural ingredients.
Packaging:

This eye cream comes in a plastic tube that contains 15 ml and it has one of those tip applicators that allows the cream to be applied in small quantities. Alverde products are usually available in white containers with a green and orange design on it.
Texture:
The cream is not that thick but it also doesn’t have the consistency of a lotion. Of course, being for the eye area, you don’t need much, so even if it’s a small tube it can last for a long time.
Ingredients:
AQUA, GLYCERINE SOJA OIL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, STEARYL ALCOHOL, POLYGLYCERYL-3 DICITRATE/STEARATE, C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES, COCO-CAPRYLATE, THEOBROMA CACAO SEED BUTTER, GLYCERIN, ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL*, CAFFEINE, GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA ROOT EXTRACT, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, XANTHAN GUM, LEVULINIC ACID, SODIUM ANISATE, SODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE, SODIUM LEVULINATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, TOCOPHEROL
This is an excellent formula. It has a score of 20/20 in the beauty app. It contains soy oil, cocoa seed butter, sweet almond oil, caffeine, licorice root extract, sunflower oil and, of course, vitamin C.
Price and accessibility:
This eye cream is sold for around 3 euros, which you can’t beat considering that it doesn’t contain any bad ingredients, not even perfume and it has a lot of good ingredients for the skin around the eye area. I don’t know what more you could ask for from an eye cream.
My overall opinion:
I don’t always use an eye cream, usually I used them when I get them in beauty boxes and advent calendars. But, since it was such a cheap find, I decided to get this one because I want to prevent wrinkles as much as possible especially since the eye area is very predisposed to those and also the caffeine helps to depuff the eyes. I use it in the morning and in the evening and I did notice that the under eye area is brighter and the fine lines are less noticeable.
Considering the formula, the price and the effect it has on the skin, I have to recommend this eye cream and I would say Alverde in general is a great brand, because most of their products have excellent formulas. I noticed that this eye cream is made in Italy, despite this being a German brand, but it doesn’t matter because if it’s made and sold in Europe only, it means it’s cruelty free.
