Kallos Hair Pro-Tox Shampoo review

Earlier this year, I started using the Hair Pro-Tox mask from Kallos and now I decided to get the shampoo from the same line because I always keep two shampoos in the shower to alternate between them.

Of course, after seeing the ingredients list in my beauty products app, I’m not as excited as before, but now I have a big bottle of shampoo and I will use it.

Packaging:

Despite the low price, Kallos products are marketed as products for professional use, so this shampoo is available in 500 ml bottle and in large 1 l bottles. I have the large bottle. it was probably a bad idea to get the large bottle first, but that’s what I found when I placed and order in the DM online shop.

Texture:

The shampoo looks like an iridescent thick liquid, so it’s probably because of the ingredients that are supposed to make the hair shiny. It’s also a very scented shampoo because it contains perfume.

Ingredients:

Aqua Sodium Laureth Sulfate Sodium Chloride Glycerin Cocamidopropyl Betaine Cocamide DEA Coco Glucoside Parfum Polyquaternium-7 PEG-4 Distearyl Ether Distearyl Ether Citric Acid Dicaprylyl Ether Hydrolyzed Keratin Soluble Collagen Sodium Hyaluronate Amodimethicone Cetrimonium Chloride Trideceth-12 Panthenol Propylene Glycol Sodium Benzoate Benzyl Alcohol Methylchloroisothiazolinone Methylisothiazolinone

The key ingredients in this shampoo are keratin, collagen and hyaluronic acid, which are supposed to be good for thin hair. Also, it contains coconut oil and olive oil, but there are also some ingredients that are not so great. Personally, I don’t have anything against silicone, because it makes the hair look nice and I don’t see a problem with this ingredient, it’s not like it’s applied on the skin.

Price and accessibility:

Kallos products are available everywhere, from supermarkets to beauty stores and online shops. I got my shampoo from DM, so the price there was about 4 euros, which is already very cheap, but for a large bottle it’s a very low price.

My overal opinion:

It’s a decent shampoo, but I don’t see any of the benefits from the collagen and hyaluronic acid. My hair looks just as thin and it doesn’t seem to look stronger or thicker. At least, that’s what I was hoping to get from this shampoo.

Also, I still have to wash my hair every other day because it’s not that great for oily hair. I would recommend this shampoo, but for someone who has dry or damaged hair, because I think it would be a better fit.

It’s not such a bad shampoo that i would stop use it, but it was definitely not a hit in my book and after I’m done with the huge containers of shampoo and hair mask, I don’t think I will repurchase them again. I was feeling a bit nostalgic with the brand because it reminded me of my youth, but I know there are better products out there.
