I wasn’t sure if it was useful to post this review because the Arganiae online shop was shut down here in Romania so I don’t know if the brand will still be available in the future. I got this perfumed rose water sometimes during the summer when I also got other products from them (a body peeling and some argan oil), but I have started to use it only now because I had other perfumes that I wanted to finish first.
Packaging:
The perfume comes in a simple, clear bottle. The outer packaging is also nothing special, just a pink and white box with some basic information on it. The perfume is made in Italy. I have the 100 ml size.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Alcohol Denat., Sodium Hyaluronate, Coceth-7, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Benzyl salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool.
The key ingredients are rose essence and hyaluronic acid. There are no other scent notes, it smells just like roses. I don’t know which type of roses was used, but the scent does remind me a little bit of those Bulgarian rose products, which means that it’s a bit too sweet for my taste.
Price and accessibility:
I can’t remember exactly how much I paid for it and since the website is down I can’t see my order history, but I think it was around 10 euros. Also, I don’t know where else I would get Arganiae products because I only discovered them through their website.
My overall opinion:
This perfumed water is a mixture of rose essence and hyaluronic acid because it’s meant to be used like some kind of hydrating mist for the body as far as I can tell. I use it just like I would use any other perfume.
Like I said, I’m not a big fan of the rose scent in this because I like roses, but only some scents, those delicate powdery scents, not the very sweet ones. Also, it’s not a perfume, I know, but it also doesn’t have any longevity, which I wouldn’t say it’s surprising. It’s just like any body mist, it’s there for a couple of hours but after that it’s gone.
It’s not a product that I would necessarily recommend, just because I know the rose scent is not something for everybody.
