I got this face cream during the summer because most SPFs were on sale in pharmacies but only now I’ve got to use it. I must say, I don’t know much about Korean skin care, so my “expertise” is not the best in the area, but I will still share my opinion on the product.
Frudia is a Korean skin care brand that has a lot of skin care and body care products that contain fruit extract hence the name. The brand was founded in 2016 and it’s now available not only in Asia, but also in Europe, North America and South America. Since 2020, it’s also available in Romania, at first in certain online stores, but now also in pharmacies.
Packaging:
The face cream comes in a plastic tube that contains 50 ml. The design is white and orange, the colors depending on the line. As far as I can tell, orange stands for anti-aging products.
Texture:

The cream has a thick texture and it can look intimidating at firs because it looks very white, but it melts into the skin and doesn’t leave a white cast. A “blob” like the one in the picture is enough for the entire face and neck area. The cream does have a scent and I can’t say that I like it, but fortunately it doesn’t linger on the skin so it doesn’t bother me. It’s not sticky and it doesn’t make the skin look shiny.

While there are some nice ingredients in this, like niacinamide, macadamia oil, grape seed oil, apricot kernel oil, mango seed oil, grapefruit seed oil and acerola fruit extract, there are also ingredients used as sunscreen that are considered not that great. However, as far as I can tell, it’s very hard to find an SPF that doesn’t contain those ingredients and since I’m committed to always use an SPF because I do think it’s important not only to prevent skin damage but also to prevent skin aging. So, you know, take this information as you wish and make the best decision for you.
Price and accessibility:
Like I said, Frudia products are available in pharmacies and online shops. Since I got mine from the Dr. Max pharmacy, I’ll go with their price which is around 6.5 euros. I think it’s a good price for a nice SPF cream and I think the price/quality ratio is very good.
My overall opinion:
Asides from being a face cream with a high SPF (50+) this product is marketed as a good base for makeup and because it has anti-aging properties. All I can say is that I like the use of niacinamide in the formula because I noticed that it does help to improve the skin’s texture and all the fruit extracts have powerful antioxidant properties. Also, it does help to even up the skin tone (regarding slight redness) and the makeup sits very well on top. It does melt nicely into the skin and it’s not sticky, so it’s easy to apply any makeup products on top of it.
Personally, I think this is my favorite SPF cream that I’ve tried so far (topping even the one from Mayie because that one does feel a little sticky) and I would repurchase it again. Also, I would be open to try other products from Frudia because this face cream seems to perform very well.
