I know they love their highlighters at Revolution Beauty so I wasn’t really surprised that I got another one in the advent calendar. This time it’s a golden bronzy highlighter, probably something warm toned as opposed to the pink highlighter that I got at first.
Packaging:
This highlighter has a slightly nicer packaging, because it’s not just a clear plastic case. At least they decided to make it a little more different with the black case and the clear lid. I have a mini size as it has a quantity of only 2 grams. The full size contains 6.5 grams. The packaging is also a little bit different, because the full size has a beige color.
Texture:

In the pan, the highlighter has a gold and white swirly pattern, but when applied it’s simply golden. It’s very shimmery, but I personally don’t like to wear such shimmery products unless it’s for a party. For everyday, I prefer matte or very discrete satin finishes. I’ll probably use it as an eyeshadow to be honest. I have the shade Raise the Bar and there are 7 shades available.
Ingredients:
MICA, NYLON-11, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM (MINERAL OIL, HUILE MINERALE), ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, POLYBUTENE, DIMITHICONE, PHENOXYETHANOL, METHYLPARABEN, (+/· MAY CDNTAIN/PEUT CDNTENIR TITANIUM DIOXIDE (Cl 77891), IRON OXIDES (Cl 77491), (Cl 77491), (Cl 774991).
Price and accessibility:
I’ll repeat myself like a broken record but Revolution Beauty products are widely available, especially in online shops. On the Revolution beauty website this highlighter is sold for 3.99 euros. I think it’s a very decent price, especially when it’s for the full size product.
My overall opinion:
I can’t possibly say if this is a great highlighter or not because I simply don’t wear powders like that, but I can say that the golden shade is very beautiful and it most likely looks beautiful on most skin tones.
If bright, shimmery highlighters are something that you like, this could probably be a very good drugstore option, but for me, the only place where I would wear shimmer on my face is on the eye lids. I know, I may seem strange, but I just don’t like how bright highlighters look in everyday makeup.
