Probably one of the most popular products from Revolution Beauty is this baking powder. Although it shouldn’t be something out of this world because face powders are products that are not that complex, I did see that there are powders and powders. Some blend nicely into the skin while others just sit there and crack. At least that’s what I’ve noticed from my experience.
Packaging:
This is another mini size product from the advent calendar because the full size one contains 32 grams. I think that’s a huge amount. The mini contains only 10 grams but that’s what most pressed powders have anyway, so that’s why I think it’s pretty great as it is. The packaging is the same, a white plastic bottle with a black lid. I don’t know why the lid is so damn small because with loose powders we often use the lid to pour some product in it and to apply it with a brush or with a powder puff. This lid is just too small to do that and that’s annoying.
Texture:

Since I have the translucent powder, there is no color to it, it looks just like a white powder, but it’s very fine milled and it looks gorgeous on the skin because you can’t tell I have any powder on.
Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, [+/- May Contain/Peut Contenir Ci 77491 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77492 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides).
Price and accessibility:
Revolution Beauty products are available in DM stores and in various online shops. Considering that you get such a large quantity of product, I would say that the price is more than accessible: 5.99 euros in the Revolution Beauty online shop. There are drugstore face powders that are cheaper but this one does offer a lot for the price.
My overall opinion:
I can see why this powder is one of their most popular products at Revolution Beauty. One of the reasons why I don’t always wear face powder even if my face gets shiny especially during summer is that not all powders are fine enough for my liking. Some just make you look like the face is aging because they just set into all the fine lines. And that’s even when you don’t apply too much powder. This face powder is one of those that blends nicely into the skin and it looks flawless.
Although it’s a baking powder, which means that you can use it brighten up some key point on he face, I don’t have the patience to wait for the powder to “bake” and then to dust it off. I use it like a setting powder for cream products and to mattify the skin, and it’s great for that. So don’t get hung up on the name because it’s just a name.
There are several powder shades available (9 to be more precise), but the translucent shade is exactly what I would have chosen and I get why they put it in the advent calendar as it’s suitable for all skin types.
I can’t say that it’s the best face powder that I used but it’s one of the best drugstore powders that I used and it’s a very nice and versatile product. I don’t like the packaging because I can’t use the lid to pour some powder in it (or at least I can’t use it how I would like), but if I don’t mind this slight inconvenience, it’s a product that I would recommend.
