Usually I didn’t pay much attention to eyeliner pencils, but I figured since we all use them for our makeup looks, why not talk about them too? Even if I don’t use high end products, it’s good to know which affordable options are worth it and which should be avoided.
Packaging:
The pencils are just simple wooden ones that need to be sharpened and have a plastic cap. I noticed that all the pencils are black (since I got two in the advent calendar), but they have an area at the end of the pencil which shows which color they are. A regular pencil has 1.3 grams, but the ones in the advent calendar are a little smaller and contain only 1 gram. It’s not a mini size, but it’s also not a full size. Honestly, I don’t understand why they didn’t went with the full size since eye and lip pencils are some of the cheapest makeup products for any brand.
Texture:

The two shades that I got are black and brown and they don’t have any names, it says only Black and Brown on them. There are 7 shades in total. I think it’s a good idea that they included a brown pencil as well because most makeup advent calendars have a black eyeliner pencil. They’re not as creamy as retractable pencils, but they’re also not as hard as to hurt the eye. I had no problem applying them in the waterline.

Price and accessibility:
Like I mentioned each time, Revolution Beauty products are available in DM stores (some of the products) and in several online shops. The kohl pencils I think are available everywhere because they’re basic makeup products. In the Revolution Beauty online shop these are sold for 3.99 euros each. Are there even cheaper options available? Yes. Are they all better than this? No. So, considering all this, I think it’s a fair price.
My overall opinion:
I don’t think these are the best drugstore eyeliner pencils because they do tend to smudge a little in the waterline, but they are certainly not the worst. All I can say is that these are another makeup products from the Revolution Beauty brand that are just ok. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. I don’t necessarily recommend these kohl pencils, but they are not bad either, they’re just…ok.
