Balea med cleansing foam review

Balea med is a range of skin care products that I think are supposed to be similar to dermato-cosmetics because they are targeted towards sensitive skin. I chose this particular range because I like to use gentle cleansers as I noticed that they are better for my skin and don’t cause any redness. Apparently, with old age comes sensitive skin as well.

Packaging:

The cleansing foam comes in a white plastic bottle with a pump. I like this type of packaging because it’s hygienic and it’s easy to get just the right amount of product out. What I don’t like is that I can’t see when the cleansing foam will be finished. The bottle contains 150 ml. It’s not much, but I use a cleanser only in the evening, so it’s more than enough for me.

Texture:

The foam is very light, it dissolves slowly if you leave it on the skin. It doesn’t have any scent because it doesn’t contain fragrance. Usually I need two pumps to clean my face because the foam is so lightweight.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Capryl/Capramidopropyl Betaine, Panthenol, Allantoin, Propylene Glycol, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid

The key ingredients in the cleansing foam are panthenol, allantoin, glycerin and lactic acid, so these are all gentle ingredients that prevent skin dryness.

Price and accessibility:

Balea products are available only in DM stores because this is one of their own brands. This cleansing foam is sold for about 2.80 euros, so it’s cheap and efficient. I don’t think you can find anything cheaper than this that also doesn’t irritate the skin.

My overall opinion:

Like all Balea products, I know this cleansing foam is not a miracle worker, but the formula is basic, it has gentle ingredients and it gets the job done. It removes face makeup (although I should mention that I don’t usually cake on makeup, I just wear a light makeup look) and the skin feels refreshed and soft after washing. It doesn’t feel hydrated, so I still need a moisturizer (I wouldn’t skip it anyway), but it’s a nice cleansing foam.

I think it’s a good product for people with sensitive skin, that don’t want any harsh ingredients in their cleansers and who don’t tolerate fragrance. It’s not exfoliating or anything, so it’s important to use this as a daily cleanser to use it once or twice, however you want to incorporate it into your skincare routine.
