Kabinett Bubblegum Bath Salt review

After quite some time of taking a break from long baths, this winter I decided I need some me time (although my husband and the cats never seem to agree) to just enjoy long, warm baths. And what does a nice bath need? Some bath bombs or bath salts or anything of some sort. I found this bath salt at the Penny store (it’s a supermarket, for those of you who don’t know) and I decided to give it a try.

Kabinett is a brand own by Rozani Kraft, a small Romanian cosmetics company that makes all kinds of skin care and body care products since 17 years. I don’t know much about them, except for the fact that they’re located near Bucharest.

Packaging:

The bath salt comes in plastic jars that contain 600 grams. It seems like much, but considering that you need about 100 grams for a bath, it’s only enough for six uses. I also like the colorful label, I like to have colorful products in the bathroom because it’s easy to spot them.

Texture:

The bath salt is pink an it smells a lot like bubblegum. There are 6 types of bath salt available in total, but of course I had to go for the pink one. The water does become a light shade of pink, but the scent is not that powerful. But still, it’s a nice experience in the bathroom.

Ingredients:

Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Limonene, CI 14720, CI 42090.

The main ingredient in this is the baking soda, which has antibacterial properties and it prevents irritations. I like to use baking soda, I think it’s great for the skin in general.

Price and accessibility:

I saw Kabinett products only in Penny and Auchan supermarkets and, of course, they’re also available through their own online shop. The bath salts are sold for around 3.5 euros each, which I think is a good price, especially since the quantity is good. There are many other bath salts that are sold in sachets that are enough jus for one use.

My overall opinion:

I like this bath salt. It’s not as scented or as hydrating as other that I used, but it has the same effect as a bath bomb. It colors the water and it makes it smell nice. So, for me, I think it’s a nice addition to my weekly long bath (I do wash daily, don’t worry, but once a week I afford the luxury to spent one hour in the bathroom).

I would recommend it, but since it’s a Romanian brand, I know it’s not widely available. If you do see Kabinett bath salts anywhere, do give them a try. The formula is simple and the products are also good for the skin.
