trend !t up Magic Face Perfection Cream review

After having tried a face perfecting cream over the last couple of months, I decided that I like this type of product for everyday because I don’t want to use foundation unless I have more blemishes to cover up. During the periods of time that my skin looks good, I want something light, so these creams are perfect for everyday use. This time, I picked up a perfecting face cream from my local DM store, from their own makeup brand called trend !t up. I know, it’s a strange name and I don’t get the writing with the exclamation mark, but to each their own.

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a plastic tube and it contains 30 ml. The packaging is rather colorful considering that most of the products from this brand don’t stand out when it comes to the use of colors in their packaging.

Texture:

The cream is rather thick and it’s white, but fortunately it doesn’t look white on the face. A little goes a long way. It gives a glowy finish to the skin, but nothing too shiny.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Coco-Caprylate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Dibutyl Adipate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glycerin, Oleth-10, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Niacinamide, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Bis-Peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Cellulose Acetate, Parfum, Zinc Pca, Propylene Glycol Stearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Magnesium Stearate, Linalool, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, BHT, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499.

The key ingredients are zinc and niacinamide, which are ingredients that my skin loves and that’s why I chose it. It also has SPF 30, which is a nice bonus.

Price and accessibility:

trend !t up products are available exclusively in DM stores. This face cream is sold for around 3.50 euros, which is a steal considering what most drugstore BB creams cost these days. I think you can’t as for more than this considering the price / quality ration.

My overall opinion:

Despite the information that I found in the DM website, this face cream doesn’t add any color to the skin, so it’s not a skin tint. Instead, it does what it says on the packaging. It’s a face perfecting cream because it evens out the skin tone and it adds some glow, making the skin look radiant and healthy. I quite like the effect, but it doesn’t have any coverage, that’s for sure. I usually add some concealer in the under eye area and a covering stick to mask the blemishes that I have here and there. It seems that I’m neve out of my teenage years and I still get those from time to time. Funnily enough, it’s worse during the winter, not during the summer.

Even so, without providing any coverage to the skin, I still like this face perfecting cream very much and I will most likely repurchase it in the future. Of course, I might try some similar products from other brands as well, but this one is a go-to item because it’s so affordable.
