Since it was time to get a new cleansing product, I decided to try something from Frudia again. This time, I chose a cleansing foam because I like this type of product. It’s gentle on the skin while it still gets the job done.
Packaging:
The cleansing foam comes in a plastic tube that contains 120 grams. Like all Frudia products, it has a colorful and fun packaging and not that I would care about stuff like that, but it does look nice on the bathroom shelf.
Texture:
The foam is not really foam. It looks like a thick white butter and it turns into foam when you rub it on damp face. It also has a certain scent which now I know is the same scent that all Frudia poducts that I have tried so far have. It’s not unpleasant, but it does smell a little bit synthetic.
Ingredients:
Water, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Lauric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Sodium Chloride, Arachidonic Acid, Oleic Acid, Capric Acid, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, PEG-90M, Betaine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Erythritol, Panthenol, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Littlewonderland.nl, 1,2-Hexanediol, Beta-Glucan, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Leaf Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Honey Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Fragrance [Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, Citronellol, Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal).
The key ingredients in this cleansing foam are shea butter and the soybean ferment extract, which I think that the ”mochi” in the name comes from. Because mochi is a cake, so of course it doesn’t have anything to do with skin care. Also, there are other fruit and plant extracts in here as well such as pomegranate fruit extract, Japanese Cypress tree leaf extract, oregano leaf extract, willow bark extract, cinnamon bark extract, purslane extract, Baikal skullcap root extract an honey extract.
Price and accessibility:
Frudia products are available in Douglas stores, in Dr. Max Pharmacies and in several online shops. I got my cleansing foam from the Dr. Max pharmacy for about 4 euros, which I think is a very good price, considering that a little goes a long way with this product since the ”butter” turns into foam and you don’t need much.
My overall opinion:
I like this cleansing foam. It’s gentle, and it does make the skin feel hydrated after using it, probably because of the shea butter. It feels more like a cleansing balm than a regular foam. The price is also good and I like the ingredients. I don’t know if I will repurchase it because I like to try all kinds of new things, but for sure I wouldn’t avoid it. Like if it’s on sale or if the opportunity arises to get it, I definitely would.
