Eveline Cosmetics Volumix Fiberlast Ultra False Lash Effect Mascara review

I’m usually not one to be very picky about the mascaras that I use, I just don’t want them to clump up on the lashes. So, I wanted to try something from Eveline Cosmetics and I got this mascara. Let me tell you something, it really wasn’t my best idea.

Packaging:

The packaging looks nice because it’s a metallic rose gold tube and it contains 9 ml. The wand is curved and made of rubber.

Texture:

The mascara doesn’t feel too thick, but it’s also not too thin, so it looks fine, just like most mascaras. Of course, I have the shade black and I don’t think there are other shades available.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Synthetic Beeswax, Paraffin, Acacia Senegal Gum, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Palmitic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Glyceryl Stearate, Polybutene, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Oryza Sativa Cera, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Myristic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Behenic Acid, Oleic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, CI 77499.

I appreciate the fact that it’s a vegan formula because it doesn’t have any bees wax in it (it’s the synthetic type), but other than that, it’s a basic mascara formula without any caring ingredients for the lashes which would have been nice, but it’s not absolutely important.

Price and accessibility:

Eveline Cosmetics products are widely available in beauty stores, online shops and in certain pharmacies. I got this mascara from the Dr. Max pharmacy for around 4 euros, so considering that it’s the price that I would pay for essence or Catrice mascaras I would have expected more from this.

My overall opinion:

I’m going to put it real simple. It’s not a good mascara. It doesn’t smudge or anything like that, but the wand is not the best for one. I did use other mascaras with rubber wands and I had no problems, but this one really doesn’t help to spread the product well as to coat the lashes. It just stays there in a clump and I have to work to spread it better. Also, I don’t think the formula is great because it certainly doesn’t make my lashes look longer or “ultra false”. It barely looks like I have mascara on even if I apply 2 or 3 coats. So yeah, for all those who want a ”natural” look, this mascara could work, but I apply mascara because I want longer and thicker lashes and this one just doesn’t cut it for me. I’m sorry to say, but this one is a miss for me and I wouldn’t recommend it.
