Farmec Gerovital Derma+ Purifying Foaming Gel review

Since I needed a new cleansing gel, I decided to try another one from Farmec so when I placed an order last month, I got this one because it was supposed to be good for combination and sensitive skin, as well as anti-acne.

Packaging:

The cleansing gel comes in a white plastic bottle that contains 200 ml. The packaging is white because the Derma+ line is all white with red writing on it. Clean and simple. I would have preferred a bottle with a pump or a squeezy tube or something like that, but a simple bottle is fine as well.

Texture:

Although it says on the bottle it’s a foaming gel it doesn’t make any foam. It’s a clear gel with a hint of a scent that just goes on the skin without creating any foam. I don’t mind it because it gets the job done, it cleanses the skin, but I just don’t understand why hey say it’s foaming when it’s not.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate,PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Niacinamide, Yeast Ferment Extract, Aesculus  Hippocastanum Seed Extract, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Zinc Gluconate, Caffeine, Biotin, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lactic acid, Sodium Benzoate, Parfum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide

The key ingredients in this cleansing gel are lactic acid and salicylic acid (from the willow bark extract), but there are also other good ingredients in here such as niacinamide, horse chestnut seed extract, caffeine and zinc gluconate.

Price and accessibility:

Farmec products are available in certain pharmacies, beauty stores and in the brand’s online shop which is where I got it from. Usually it’s sold for about 7 euros, but I got it on sale for about 5 euros, which is great. Derma+ is not one of their cheapest lines, but it’s still affordable and considering the formula I think it was a good purchase.

My overall opinion:

I like this cleansing gel because it gest the job done, but it doesn’t make the skin feel too dry and I do feel like it did help with my acne. Like I said in a previous post, since I started to have a skin care routine consisting of mainly Farmec products, my skin was so much better. And I must say I got the advice to use this cleansing gel from their website in the ”beauty adviser” section. It’s a very helpful section and I appreciate that they have it and they give all kinds of advice regarding which products to combine and how and I think it’s great.

Asides from the ”foaming” claim that simply isn’t true, I like this cleansing gel and I would repurchase it again.
