I know that some people say that you don’t need an eye cream, but now that I’m older, trust me, you do. Eye creams are usually lighter and suitable for sensitive skin as some face cream do contain fragrance and other irritating ingredients. I don’t have sensitive skin, so I use all kinds of face creams, but for the eye area, I do prefer to use an actual eye cream.
This time, I got this little guy from my local DM store because it was a basic anti-aging eye cream and it was cheap.
Packaging:
The eye cream is available in a plastic tube that contains 15 ml. It has one of those applicators at the tip that allows you to just squeeze a little cream out, which is useful because you only need two drops each time. The tube is yellow, as the skin care lines from Balea have different colored packaging, depending on the range. This one is the Q10 range.
Texture:

This eye cream has quite a liquid texture, but it’s also rich at the same time, so you only need a little bit. Even if it’s such a small tube, it will probably last me for quite some time. It doesn’t have any scent and it feels wonderful on the skin.
Ingredients:
AQUA | GLYCERIN | CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE | OCTYLDODECANOL | DICAPRYLYL ETHER | GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE | MYRISTYL MYRISTATE | CETEARYL ALCOHOL | HYDROGENATED COCO_GLYCERIDES | CI 77891 | s SEED OIL | GLYCERYL STEARATE | TOCOPHERYL ACETATE | PANTHENOL | ASCORBYL TETRAISOPALMITATE | UBIQUINONE | XANTHAN GUM | SODIUM CITRATE | SODIUM HYDROXIDE | TOCOPHEROL | PHENOXYETHANOL | HYDROXYACETOPHENONE.
The key ingredients in this eye cream are vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as safflower seed oil. It doesn’t contain perfume, parabens or mineral oils, so for a cheap product the formula is basic, but efficient.
Price and accessibility:
Balea products are available exclusively in DM stores and in their online shop at the price of about 2 euros, which is a steal if you ask me. I mean, I think this is the cheapest eye cream that I tried so far, and you know what, I think it’s worth it.
My overall opinion:
I keep forgetting to apply this cream in the morning, but I’ve been using it in the evening for some weeks now and I’m happy with it. I don’t see any amazing results, it’s true, but the eye area does feel soft and smooth and I think it’s good to prevent any other fine lines besides the ones that I already have.
So, if you’re on the budget, but you still don’t want to neglect your skin care, I would highly recommend Balea prodcuts because most of them are actually really nice for the basic skin care routine.
