Since I like so much the Hyaluron Pure shampoo from Elseve, I decided to opt for another shampoo from this brand as my alternative (I like to use two shampoos alternatively because I feel like it’s better for my hair). This one is for frail hair, because I did notice that my hair tends to break easily.
Packaging:
The shampoo comes in a brown plastic bottle and it’s available in two different sizes, 250 ml and 400 bottles. I got the 400 ml bottle because it was on sale in one of my local supermarkets and I tend to buy big bottles because it’s more cost-affordable on the long run.
Texture:
This looks like a cream shampoo, it’s not as thick as the ones that have a gel consistency. It does have a strong fragrance like most L’Oreal products, but I don’t mind it because I like my hair to smell nice.
Ingredients:
1177699 D – INGREDIENTE: AQUA / WATER • SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE • DIMETHICONE • COCO-BETAINE • SODIUM CHLORIDE • GLYCOL D I ST E A R AT E • G LYC E R I N • G UA R HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE • COCAMIDE MIPA • SODIUM BENZOATE • SODIUM HYDROXIDE • ARGININE • SALICYLIC ACID • LIMONENE • FUMARIC ACID • PANTHENOL • 2-OLEAMIDO-1,3-OCTADECANEDIOL • BIOTIN • CARBOMER • CITRIC ACID • HEXYLENE GLYCOL • PARFUM / FRAGRANCE. The key ingredients are arginine, biotin and Vitamin B5. It also contains salicylic acid, which is a great ingredient for oily scalp.
Price and accessibility:
L’Oreal products are widely available in beauty stores, online shops and even in supermarkets. I got this shampoo for about 4 euros which is a great price for the big bottle because you usually pay as much for the small bottle. I think it’s a great cost per value ratio considering that L’Oreal shampoos are some of my favorite drugstore shampoos.
My overall opinion:
Call me crazy, but I did noticed less hair in the bath tub after I wash it. It doesn’t make my hair oily and it does feel smooth and silky. I use it as an alternative shampoo because the clearing shampoo does tend to make the hair a little bit dry at the ends.
The only thing that I don’t like is that my hair looks a little bit flat when I use it. It doesn’t do anything for the volume and that’s an issue for me because I have such fine hair. You would think that they would have considered this when they made a shampoo for frail hair.
That’s the only reason why I don’t know if I would choose this shampoo again or just try something else from Elseve. However, if you don’t have the same issue as I do, having flat, fine hair, then I would definitely recommend trying this shampoo out.
