I really thing DM should start paying me for how much I praise their products, but what can I say? I love their affordable beauty products and they are all pretty good, so why not? This time, let’s talk about a cleansing gel that is for acne-prone skin or for oily and combination skin in general.
Packaging:
The cleansing gel is available in plastic tubes that contain 150 ml. It’s about the same about of other cleansing gels as well. It has a green-blue color, which I don’t know if it’s part of a line, but I did have a face toner as well that was for acne-prone skin.
Texture:
This is a clear gel that is not too thick, but you still don’t need a large amount on product for a use. It does have a bit of a scent, but not too much. It produces quite a bit of foam, which I like because even if it’s a placebo effect, I feel like products like this work better then the ones that don’t produce any foam.
Ingredients:
AQUA · SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE · GLYCERIN · COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE · ISOSTEARAMIDE MIPA · ALCOHOL DENAT. · SODIUM CHLORIDE · COCO GLUCOSIDE · SALICYLIC ACID · SODIUM BENZOATE · PARFUM · ZINC PCA · GLYCERYL LAURATE · POTASSIUM SORBATE · CITRIC ACID · BISABOLOL · SODIUM HYDROXIDE.
The key ingredients are salicylic acid , zinc and bisabolol which remove all the impurities from the skin and help with sebum control.
Price and accessibility:
Balea products are available exclusively in DM stores and in their online shop for about 1.80 euros. And no, that’s not a typo. This face wash is cheaper than two euros, it can’t go any lower than that.
My overall opinion:
Look, I think for the price, it’s fine. It does a great job at removing all the makeup and dirt from the face and I feel very refreshed and clean after using it. But, could it be a better product? Yes. I do feel like it make the skin feel a little bit tight, which means that it dries it up too much. I would not recommend this cleansing gel for dry skin because it would make it even drier.
But, for now, especially because it’s summer and I do have mostly oily skin all the time, it’s good enough. And I would probably repurchase it in the future if I’m on a pinch with my skin care budget, but not during the winter.
