First of all sorry for how this tube looks, but it was that gross when I got it from my local DM store because it was on the clearance rack and they probably wanted to get rid of the last few products they had in the storage.
I do like a good natural-looking foundation and for my old wrinkly ass, tinted moisturizers, CC creams and serum foundations are way better than regular foundations because they don’t tend to get into every single fine line that I have on my face.
Packaging:
This serum foundation is available in a plastic tube and it contains 30 ml, just like any other regular foundation. Would I have preferred to have a bottle with a pump? Yes, it’s more hygienic and easier to use just enough product, but it’s a cheap product so I can’t really complain that much.
Texture:

The foundation has a thin texture, but don’t get fooled, a little goes a long way. I put a little on my hand to take the photo but I didn’t end up using it all on my face because it has a surprisingly good coverage. I would say medium coverage even if it’s just a serum foundation.
Ingredients:
Aqua | Alcohol | Glycine Soja Oil* | Glycerin | Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil | Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride | Talc | Butyrospermum Parkii Butter* | Cetearyl Olivate | Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate | Rosa Canina Fruit Oil* | Sorbitan Olivate | Palmitic Acid | Stearic Acid | Sodium Levulinate | Xanthan Gum | Acmella Oleracea Extract | Galactoarabinan | Sodium Anisate | Lactic Acid | Vigna Aconitifolia Seed Extract | Tocopherol | Sodium Lactate | Maltodextrin | Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil* | Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate | Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate | Parfum** | Linalool** | Benzyl Salicylate** | CI 77891 | CI 77492 | CI 77491 | CI 77499. *ingredients from certified organic agriculture **ingredients from natural essential oils
This serum foundation has a retinol-like effect on the skin because of the grape seed oil and I also like the shea butter, the rosehip oil, the acmella oleracea extract (it’s called ”natual botox”) and the moth bean seed extract (it’s used in the cosmetics industry for its anti-aging properties). I’m actually surprised of the ingredients found in such an affordable makeup product that combines skin care ingredients as well. This is a little gem that I found right here.
Price and accessibility:
I can’t seem to find the original price, but as far as I remember I thing it was something about 4.5 euros, but I got in on clearance for around 2 euros. It’s such a low price for a product that is not only a makeup product, but also a skin care product. A 2 in 1 if you want. Alverde products are available exclusively in DM stores because it’s one of their own brands.
My overall opinion:
Listen, this isn’t a magic product, I know that. It has only three shades which is not really a shade range and it tends to lean on the orange side. I have the lightest shade, called 01 Light Beige and I’m a little bit tanned but it’s still a shade too dark.
I think that if they would improve on their shade range and on the colors in general, this would be a great serum foundation. The ingredients are great, the skin looks like it has a natural glow and it even has decent coverage. But the shade range is a disaster.
It does leave stains on clothes when used on its own, but with a little bit of powder or some setting spray, it lasts much better.
Would I recommend it if it were more expensive? No, there are definitely better products out there. But for 2 euros? Oh yes, it’s perfect for those days when I don’t need to have my makeup on for hours and hours and for when I want something natural looking.
