I do have to admit that I was a little bit thrown away by this product because I thought it was a volume spray. I mean, most of us when we hear about products for hair volume, we think about sprays, right? So, I didn’t read the fine print on the back label and I got. Well, guess what, this is a mousse.
Packaging:
The product, as I already told you, comes in a metal tube and it contains 150 ml. It’s about the usual amount for just about any hair product. I will just mention the spray nozzle, because it’s very thin, thinner than the ones that we find usually in hair mousse.
Texture:
This is a hair mouse with a pleasant scent that is meant to be applied on the roots of the hair. I mention this because usually hair mousse is applied also on the length of the hair.

Price and accessibility:
Balea products are available only in DM stores (and in their online shop, of course) and I got it for about 2.20 euros, which is a more than affordable price. Honestly, I’m surprised how Balea products and DM brand products in general can be so cheap. And no, they’re not made in China, which is also a bonus.
My overall opinion:
I used the volume booster like it says on the packaging, on the roots, on damp hair and then I did my usual blow out with the hair dryer but I also used it on dry hair (for the second day hair – when you know, you know), but then I also used the hair dryer. It works both ways.
To be honest, the same effect I obtain when I use any regular styling mousse, so this one doesn’t have anything special, but it does the job. I get more volume, the hair doesn’t looks as flat on my hand, so it’s all good. I would repurchase this, but after I finish my other styling mousse as well because there’s no point in having more products that basically do the same thing.
