Well darlings, today is the day. At least one of the days. In my beauty journey there are two things that I search and search for and that I don’t find. One is the perfect shampoo, the one that makes my hair gorgeous and not oily after just one day. The other one is a deodorant that is sweat proof and doesn’t irritate the skin. Because I had deodorants that were gentle on the skin but didn’t do anything for the sweating happening there, deodorants that were more efficient but irritated my skin and even natural deodorants that gave me such a harsh allergic reaction that I had itchy under arms for two weeks. And now I found the perfect deodorant for me. It’s kind of natural, it’s dirt cheap and it even has that discreet clean scent that I love. I told you, Balea has products that are hits and misses and this one is definitely a hit!
Packaging:
This cream deodorant comes in a plastic jar and it contain 50 ml, just like any other regular deodorant. At first, I was skeptical about using a cream deodorant because you have to apply it with your hands, but I don’t need to constantly reapply it, so it doesn’t matter if I have to wash my hands afterwards.
Texture:

This is a solid cream, so you have to rub your hands a bit on the surface to get some product on the fingers. On the other hand, it’s good that it’s more solid because it doesn’t become a mess if you have it in the bag during hot days.
Ingredients:
ETHYLHEXYL STEARATE, ZEA MAYS STARCH, CERA ALBA, SODIUM BICARBONATE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER, CI 77947, AQUA, GOSSYPIUM HERBACEUM SEED OIL, SILICA, PARFUM, BENZYL SALICYLATE, LINALOOL, LIMONENE
I love that it contains sodium bicarbonate because it as antimicrobial properties, also shea butter because it’s a skin caring ingredient and cotton seed oil, which is a soothing agent with anti-inflammatory properties. It doesn’t contain aluminium, alcohol or ethanol.
Price and accessibility:
Balea products are available exclusively in DM stores and in the DM online shop. I got mine for about 2.10 euros, which is a steal really, considering that I have the impression that a cream deodorant also lasts longer.
My overall opinion:
Although it may seem like a pain in the butt to use a cream deodorant, you get used to it. At first, I would carry it around with me, but I find that I don’t need to reapply it while I’m at work. It’s not that I don’t sweat anymore because I do, but there is less sweat and it still smells nice in the under arm area. It doesn’t stain the clothes, it doesn’t leave any white residue behind and the skin looks nice and smooth, not dry like in the case of some other deodorants.
I can’t recommend it enough and if you’re like me and you tried all kinds of deodorants without finding something that works in all aspects and you also have access to DM stores, please give it a try. Of course, make sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients or you might end up like me, with itchy under arms.
