Farmec has launched two new perfumes (I mean, these are their only perfumes because they used to have some in the past but not anymore). It’s a collection called Epithet, one perfume for women and one for men. They are both created by parfumeur Claudine de Vogel.
They seem to be on the Oriental side, because the one for women is called simply Oud and the one for men is called Musk. They are both EDPs, so they are probably intense.
I don’t mind that they launched some perfumes, even if I’m not the biggest fan of Oriental notes, but the price is a little bit steep, 390 lei, which is about 78 euros for 50 ml bottles. It’s a lot for a brand that is not particularly known for their perfumes and I don’t know how they try to position themselves. They have their premium and luxury lines and their very affordable product ranges, so it’s like they’re trying to cater to all types of customers. So I hope they also think about creating some more affordable alternatives.
Epithet Oud has top notes of ginger, pink pepper and geranium, middle notes of rose, coriander, cedar and olibanum and base notes of oud, patchouli, vetiver, Siam benzoin and myrrh.
Epithet Musk has ginger as a top note, florals, spices and leather as middle notes and oud, patchouli, amber and musk as base notes.
For now, it seems the perfumes are available for order only in the Farmec online shop.
