Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Anti-fatigue Moisturizing Fresh Eye Gel

It’s been a while since I posted here and I’m sorry for that but I haven’t been myself lately, plus I didn’t have any new stuff to show you, so there was nothing to really check in for.

I got this eye cream, well actually eye gel from Yves Rocher and I started to use it a couple of weeks ago, so I think it’s time to give you my review on it. I’m not new to the Hydra Vegetal range because I used the Hydra Vegetal face cream in the past I liked it, so I was happy to receive the eye gel from the same range as a gift with purchase for my birthday last month.

Packaging:

The eye gel comes in a bright blue plastic tube that has one of those thin tips that makes it very easy to apply just a small quantity in the eye area. It contains 15 ml, like most eye creams and it will last for more than one month, that’s for sure. I also like the packaging because it’s so colorful. For some reason I like it more than just having clean white tubes that I have to be very careful not to mix up.

Texture:

This is a a gel, not a gel cream, really a gel. It has a very liquid texture and it’s clear, so it almost feels like you’re applying water. It absorbs fast into the skin and it doesn’t leave any greasy residue at all. It’s unscented.

Ingredients:

AQUA/WATER/EAU, CENTAUREA CYANUS FLOWER WATER, BETAINE, CARPOBROTUS EDULIS EXTRACT, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, PROPANEDIOL, ESCIN, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, MICA, CELLULOSE GUM, CHENOPODIUM QUINOA SEED EXTRACT, SILICA, CITRIC ACID, CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE)

Synthetic ingredients

METHYLPROPANEDIOL, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, CARBOMER, SODIUM BENZOATE, TETRASODIUM EDTA, POTASSIUM SORBATE

It contains 95% ingredients from natural origin and the key ingredient is the edulis cellular water, which is a hydration activator that helps to store water in every skin layer, locking it in and releasing it for continuous hydration. It also contains cornflower water, aloe leaf juice powder and quinoa seed extract.

Price and accessibility:

Yves Rocher products are available in the brand’s stores and in their online shop and also in certain pharmacies and in certain online shops. Like I said, I received mine as a gift with purchase, but usually it’s sold for about 13 euros, which is not exactly affordable for an eye product (well, not in my opinion, but I’m sure it all depends on what you consider to be affordable).

My overall opinion:

The main effect I would say this eye gel has on the eye area is that it refreshes the skin. It does make you look a bit more awake, so it’s great in the morning, especially if you store it in the fridge and you apply it when it’s cool. I don’t that because I’m too lazy, but I’m just saying.

I think 13 euros is a bit much for an eye gel especially since it’s nothing that amazing, but luckily Yves Rocher has some kinds of offers all the time. Or, you could even receive some products for free as a gift with purchase, like in my case. So, when it’s on sale, I would say that this eye gel is worth it, but for the full price, I would honestly not pay that much.
