I’m sorry I’ve been MIA on this blog, but I was just busy with work and with other projects and I didn’t catch up on the beauty stuff lately. Also, I didn’t have any new things to show you, so there was no real point on writing on here since this blog is dedicated mainly to product reviews.
Of course, there wouldn’t be an advent season if I didn’t have at least one calendar and this time I have two. One is a was melts advent calendar that I got from a friend that makes those but that’s not available for sale online because she sells her stuff at fairs and to friends and colleagues.
Another calendar I got is the Paris Perfumes advent calendar, a brand that I was not familiar with, but since I do love perfumes, it was a must have for me because it contains 3 perfumes, a car perfume and 21 perfume samples.

The calendar is beautiful, it looks just like a giant perfume bottle and I got it for around 36 euros which is a good price considering that the full size products are worth more than that, plus you get a lot of samples to see what you like.
Paris Perfumes is a Polish perfume brand that does all kinds of perfumes “inspired” by famous and classic perfumes. I found them through their online shop and as far as I can tell, the perfumes are not available in stores. They’re basically clones, but I do like me a good perfume clone because who has the money for the real deal in this economy? So, I’ll tell you how I feel about it but I won’t post each day because it’s a bit much.

Day 1 started with a perfume sample (each tiny bottle contains 1.8 ml) which is is enough for 2-3 application. The first perfume was Number 60, a clone for Chloe, which is one of my favorite perfumes. Of course, I loved it since I also love the original. I get mostly the rose scent in this floral perfume, so I know it’s a hit or miss for people because I feel like you either love or you hate rose notes.

Day 2 was Number 48, a clone for Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana and I was surprised that I liked this citrusy-fresh scent because I’m not usually a big fan of those. But I do get the hype around this perfume because it also has a certain sweetness to it and it’s perfect for everyday wear.

Day 3, which was today, was a bit of a disappointment because they packed the largest bottle (104 ml) in here when they should have kept it as a big reveal for the 24th. Oh well, at least I have a nice perfume for the rest of the month of December. It’s Number 12, clone of Libre by Yves Saint Laurent, a perfume that I’m not familiar with, but I also get the hype in this case as well because it smells delicious.
So far, I think these are the best clone perfumes that I have tried so far because they seem to be very similar to the perfumes they were “inspired” by (at least the Chloe one I know was spot on), but, of course, they’re not as long-lasting. They are all ”eau de perfume” so they should be more concentrated, but they seem to me to be more like “eau de toilette”. At least that’s my non-expert opinion. Nevertheless, I’m curious to see what else I will find in those cute little red boxes because so far, the first three were all bangers because they were all perfumes that I liked and that I would use.
By the way, the large size perfumes like the one I got today in the advent calendar are sold for about 20 euros, so I already got a product that’s worth more than half of the price of the calendar.
