It’s finally Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it and Happy Holidays to everyone! Well, the last three days were both interesting and disappointing. Day 22 had a sample of the Number 416, a perfume inspired by Lancome’s Idole. I had other samples form the original perfume and well and it’s not my favorite from Lancome. I don’t want to say that it’s boring because that’s not it, but it could be more interesting. It was a ice perfume but nothing too special.

Day 23 had the last perfume sample of the Number 268, inspired by Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. This is definitely a sexy perfume, that’s a mix of floral and gourmand notes. I love it and it’s on my list of full size perfumes to purchase.

Finally, day 24 was very disappointing because I thought there would be one of those room perfumes, but it’s not, it’s just one of those car fresheners. I hanged it in my closet, but it was very underwhelming for the last day. I just don’t understand why they didn’t put the 100 ml perfume in the last day, because that would have been a really good gift.

But, overall because of the three perfumes that I got and because of the samples that helped me to discover some new perfumes to add on my list, this was not a bad perfume advent calendar. Just the last day was not really what I would have wanted.

Asides from the full size perfumes which I truly like, there are a few perfumes that I intent to purchase in the near future, especially since there are frequent sales on the Paris Perfumes website:

• Number 48 (inspired by Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue)
• Number 228 (inspired by Versace’s Bright Crystal)
• Number 548 (inspired by Ariana Grande’s Cloud)
• Number 268 (inspired by Dior’s Hypnotic Poison)

So these are the 4 perfumes that I would purchase from all the samples that I tried and they do have a sale where you buy 3 and you get 1 free perfume, so I think that would be just perfect to get them all, even if it were to have just the mid-sized bottles (50 ml).

Overall I’m happy with this calendar and also happy with the quality of the perfumes. They seem to be very similar to the perfumes they are inspired by and they also have decent longevity considering the very affordable price.

I might do this again next year, given they change up the perfumes in the advent calendar and they don’t offer the same.
