Since I was such a fan of my first Bellebox that I got in December it’s also time to talk a bit about the face moisturizer that we got in that box. This is a day and night face cream, that has become a part of my daily morning skin care rutine.
Cobacco is a Bulgarian cosmetics brand founded by Lidyia Stoycheva, a pharmacist who decided to use her expertise and her passion for worldwide beauty trends to create her own brand. “Cobacco” means “to follow” (although I don’t know in what language).
Packaging:
The face moisturizer is available in a plastic tube (not my favorite packaging ever) and in two different sizes. I have the “small” 50 ml tube, which is actually the normal quantity for most moisturizers, but there is also a large tube available, that contains 100 ml. I do like the pink color though and the pairing with the blue writing.
Texture:

The moisturizer has a very light texture, so that’s why I think it’s suitable for all skin types, even for oily and combination skin. It also has a light scent to it, but it’s nothing that would be bothersome.
Ingredients:
WATER, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, GLYCERIN, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, XYLITYL GLUCOSIDE, LINOLEIC ACID, ANHYDROXYLITOL, PANTHENOL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, PALMITIC ACID, STEARIC ACID, OLEIC ACID, LINOLENIC ACID, TOCOPHEROL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, SACCHAROMYCES FERMENT LYSATE FILTRATE, XYLITOL, INULIN, FRUCTOSE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, CITRIC ACID, GLYCINE SOJA SEED EXTRACT, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, PARFUME, LACTIC ACID, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CAESALPINIA SPINOSA GUM CROSSPOLYMER/AMMONIUM BOOSTER, HEXAMETYLINDANOPYRAN, LIMONENE, CITRUS AURANTIUM PEEL OIL, BENZALDEHYDE, TETRAMETHYL ACETYLOCTAHYDRONAPHTALENE, LINALOOL, BENZYL SALICYLATE, JUNIPERUS VIRGINIANA OIL
The key ingredients are aquaxyl (a component that provides hydration and increases the skin’s barrier), inulin (a prebiotic), aloe vera, vitamin E and panthenol. There are also other great skin care ingredients in there such as shea butter, sweet almond oil, lactic acid and eastern red cedar oil.
Price and accessibility:
Unfortunately, Cobacco products are not available in Romania, but they can be ordered through the brand’s online shop, where the 50 ml tube is sold for 12.73 euros. It’s not cheap, but it’s also not expensive, I would say it’s a medium price for a good moisturizer. However, I would not go out of my way to purchase it, but if it were to become available in Romanian stores or online shops, I would give it another shot.
My overall opinion:
I like that this is a very light moisturizer, but it provides great hydration at the same time. I also do have to say that it’s good to reduce redness. I think this would be a good moisturizer all year round, but just don’t forget to add an SPF on top because it doesn’t have any.
It was a great surprise in the Bellebox and that’s why I like getting beauty boxes. You never know when you will find products that you wouldn’t have thought about trying and they turn out to be just the right thing. I will also do an updated skin care routine over the next days and you will see how sometimes the simplest things are the ones that work best.
