Continuing to review to products from this month’s Bellebox, now it’s time to talk about the body scrub I got from Mudmasky.

Mudmasky was founded in 2015 by Majid Mousavi, and the focus point of the brand is to make sure that each product addresses multiple skin concerns and you don’t need to use different products that each have different effects on the skin. That’s why each product has five green stripes on the packaging, because it addresses at least five different skin problems. All the products are made in France.

Packaging:

The body scrub comes in a pink plastic tube and it contains 180 ml. There is also a mini size available with only 40 ml. I would have preferred a jar because it’s easier to use up all of the products, but a plastic tube is also ok because it’s more compact.

Texture:

This is a bamboo-based body scrub, so it has a grainy texture a light pink clear consistency and it smells delicious. It’s rose-scented, so that’s something to keep in mind for those of you who don’t like the smell of roses.

Ingredients:

AQUA (WATER), BAMBUSA ARUNDINACEA (BAMBOO) STEM EXTRACT, GLYCERIN, TRIETHANOLAMINE, CITRUS LIMON (LEMON) FRUIT EXTRACT, MANGIFERA INDICA (MANGO) FRUIT EXTRACT, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, CARBOMER, PARFUM/ FRAGRANCE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, PHYTIC ACID, CITRIC ACID, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CI 16255 (ACID RED 18).

The key ingredients are lime extract (helps with hyperpigmentation and dark spots), glycerin, ground bamboo stem extract (natural exfoliating ingredient) and rose extract (calming effect).

Price and accessbility:

Mudmasky products are available in certain online shops. This body scrub was included on the Bellebox flyer at the price of about 28.5 euros, but on the brand’s website it says it’s only 15.5 euros. That’s almost half the price so I do think the first price is an exaggeration. Honestly, the almost 30 euros price tag does seem to be too much for just a body scrub.

My overall opinion:

On the packaging it says that this body scrub has the following effects on the skin: softening, smoothing, exfoliating, hydrating and nourishing. I do have to say that it feels like a luxuriant experience each time I use it. The skin feels so soft and smooth and also it doesn’t make the skin feel dry.

I do like this body scrub very much and I save it to use it only once a week. Also, the scent is so beautiful and yummy, like rose combined with a sweet sugary note. However, I do think I would rather use a more affordable body scrub because most of them have basically the same effect.
