I know the name alone sounds a little bit weird at first, but trust me, it’s only a prepping milk. Or at least I think that’s what this products wants to be. I got it in this month’s Bellebox and it’s the second product from the Bulgarian brand Yenges that I got to use. While I did love the lip product and I use it every day, this one makes me have different opinions.
Packaging:

First of all, I’m not a fan of the packaging. I get that they try to have this minimalist approach when it comes to colors, but they want to have a different twist on the packaging at the same time, but this just isn’t it. This is a plastic bottle with a pump and it contains 100 ml, which is a very generous amount for a skin care product, but I just don’t get it why the bottle is meant to be stored upside down, but then you do have to turn it around to get some product. And since it’s a liquid, you do have to put the bottle down fast to apply the prepping milk on the face and if you’re not careful just get the right position, it falls down. So no, I really don’t get the upside down bottle thing.
Texture:

Since this is a prepping milk, it does look like a white lotion. A very thin lotion, I might add. Also, it’s scented, but it doesn’t bother me. I need about two pumps for the entire face, because it does tend to absorb fast into the skin.
Ingredients:
Aqua, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Isopropyl Myristate, Ceteareth – 20, Erythritol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Parfum, Ceramide Np, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Sucrose Stearate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Dilauryl Thiodipropionate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate
The key ingredients are ceramides, hydrogenated lecithin and niacinamide.
Price and accessibility:
Unfortunately, Yenges products are not available in Romania, but they can be purchased through the brand’s online shop. This prepping milk is sold for 27.10 euros, which does seem a little bit expensive for what it is honestly.
My overall opinion:
I read the packaging and also the product description on the website, but I just’don’t know if this prepping milk should be used before or after the moisturizer. Since it is put in the toners and serums category, I just assumed that it should be used before the moisturizer, which is what I did.
I used it only in the morning because it does make the skin feel a little bit sticky (but not too much, don’t worry). I used it including when I didn’t have any face makeup on because I do feel like it does a good job at blurring the pores and the face looks smoother and brighter.
I did notice that the foundation glides on better (probably because there are less ”crevices” to get lost into) and overall I do feel like this prepping milk makes a difference. However, it doesn’t have such an amazing effect to make it worth the price because there are more affordable options available at the drugstore that do the exact same thing.
So, I’m glad I have it, I will use it (although I hate the bottle), but I would certainly not go out of my way to purchase it.
