Rilastil is not exactly a new brand to me. I remember I tried a couple of Rilastil products almost 6 years ago and back then I liked one and was not so found of the other, but I said I would like to try more. However, I always say this about plenty of brands and sadly I rarely follow up on that because I get caught up with other stuff.
But now, I got this interesting product as a gift from my husband for Valentine’s Day (he knows I love beauty products, bless him, so he finally knows how to make me wonderful surprises).
Packaging:
This product is like a serum, but it comes in the form of a spray. The bottle contains 100 ml, which I think is a generous amount for a face product. The design of the packaging is the same as of other Rilastil products, with white and blue colors.
Texture:
Although it’s supposed to be a serum, I do have to say it’s very watery, so I get why it comes in form of a spray. Although, I would have preferred a dropper, but it works even so. It has a bit of a yellow color and a citrusy scent, but neither of them bothers me.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water) • Niacinamide • Propanediol • Sodium PCA • PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil • Pullulan • 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid • Citric Acid • Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid • Sodium Hyaluronate • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract • Bioflavonoids • Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract • Sodium DNA • Disodium Phosphate • Cetrimonium Bromide • Disodium EDTA • Parfum (Fragrance).
I love some of the ingredients in this, especially the niacinamide and the aloe vera extract and I’m surprised by others such as the broccoli extract but I guess it makes sense because it contains antioxidants. Of course, the citric acid couldn’t be missing or otherwise it would not be a vitamin C spray.
Price and accessibility:
Rilastil products are exclusively available in Catena pharmacies and in the Spring Farma online pharmacy (which is a sister-pharmacy so to say). It’s sold for about 10 euros, but it’s often available at a lower price for those who have a client card with Catena pharmacies. I think it’s a decent price, considering how much skin care costs these days and it’s an Italian brand, so the quality is also there.
My overall opinion:
I use this spray both in the morning and in the evening after the cleanser and before the moisturizer. I did noticed that it helps with some acne signs that I have on my chin and in time it will probably help me get rid of those for good. Also, it does a great job at illuminating the skin. Plus, I love everything with niacinamide in it because it really helps with those dilated pores.
Therefore, I would recommend this spray but I wouldn’t say it works as a serum, more like a vitamin C toner. And yes, now I think I would like to try some more Rilastil products or maybe my husbands will surprise me with more.
