Oriflame Waunt Super Recover Day Cream review

I try to avoid doing reviews on Oriflame products because it’s an MLM and I know people don’t like this type of companies. But, on the other hand, when there’s something that I thing is good, I don’t want to gatekeep it. I use plenty of Oriflame products and they’re mostly so-and-so and there are just a few that I would strongly recommend. This face cream is one of them.

The Waunt line started as a skin care line targeted towards teens as far as I could tell and it consists of only 4 products (if I’m not mistaken) but I see it more like a skin care line that borrows a few things from Korean skin care. There are interesting ingredients in this and an interesting texture, so it makes for a trendy product. Although I’m no longer in the young audience, I did use this face cream for the last couple of weeks now and I love it.

Packaging:

The face cream comes in a white plastic tube that has one of those nuzzles like the ones used for all kinds of foams. It contains 50 ml, just like any other face cream.

Texture:

The cream comes out as a foam and it has a whipped cream texture with a light lilac shade. It’s very fluffy and light and it absorbs very fast into the skin. One little blob like this is enough for one application. It also has a light scent, but it doesn’t bother me at all.

Ingredients:

AQUA, GLYCERIN, STEARIC ACID, PALMITIC ACID, DIMETHICONE, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, ALLANTOIN, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, AMYL SALICYLATE, LACTOCOCCUS FERMENT EXTRACT, LACTOBACILLUS/BRASSICA NIGRA SEED FERMENT EXTRACT, TRIOLEIN, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, ARACHIDYL ALCOHOL, DIMETHICONE/VINYL DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, POLYPHENYLSILSESQUIOXANE, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, BEHENYL ALCOHOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, ARACHIDYL GLUCOSIDE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, XANTHAN GUM, LINALYL ACETATE, AMYLOPECTIN, TETRAMETHYLACETYLOCTAHYDRONAPHTHALENES, GERANYL ACETATE, CALCIUM LACTATE, TOCOPHEROL, TOCOPHEROL, VEGETABLE OIL, PARFUM, DISODIUM EDTA, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 60730, CI 15985

The key ingredients are Omega 9 oil from seaweed and…oak that has antioxidant properties. It also contains probiotics which are great for the skin.

Price and accessibility:

Oriflame products are available just through brand consultants (which I know, it’s a pain). The price of this face cream varies a lot, from 8 euros ton 13 euros, but as a consultants I got it for only 6 euros, which I think is a fair price for a nice face cream.

My overall opinion:

I like this face cream as a day cream because it’s so light but it offers proper hydration and it’s just the right thing for my combination skin. It doesn’t make the skin shine and it’s also so nice to use it because of the texture, how it feels and how it looks. I know it’s a superficial reason, but it’s nice to have products that you just love to apply.

It doesn’t target any skin concerns, so this should be only used just as a light moisturizer, but I would definitely recommend it for those who have oily or combination skin and just need a good moisturizer.

I want to try the other Waunt products as well and I hope they come out with more skin care products like this because sometimes the basic products are just enough, you don’t need Superman product all the time.
