I know I probably sound like a walking ad for this brand, but I promise you, I’m not. It’s just that this was also part of the gift I received from my husband and by now we all know he likes to surprise me with beauty products from the pharmacy.
Packaging:
I’m not the biggest fan of the packaging, because this moisturizer comes in one of those metallic tubes and it contains 40 ml. It’s not my preferred packaging because you have to squeeze and squeeze when you get to the last bits of product, but there you go. It has the usual white and blue design of Rilastil products and it’s just clean and simple, what you would expect from a beauty brand that tou can find in pharmacies.
Texture:

Since this is a gel-cream it has an interesting texture. It seems to be thick but it absorbs fast into the skin. I don’t know if I’m using too much, but this blob is the usual amount that I use. I apply the moisturizer in the evening just because it makes the face look a little shiny, but it’s light, so it doesn’t apply sticky like some gel-creams and it doesn’t feel oily on the skin. It has no scent.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Arginine, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Bacillus/Folic Acid/Soybean Ferment Extract, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Phytosphingosine, Cholesterol, Cyanocobalamin, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Cetyl Dimethicone, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Silica, Isoceteth-10, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance).
The key ingredient in this is hyaluronic acid with different densities so it’s supposed to ensure the proper amount of moisture to the skin, and it also contains ceramides and the hydraboost complex which intensifies the effects of the hyaluronic acid.
Price and accessibility:
Like I said before, Rilastil products are available exclusively in pharmacies and this gel-cream is sold for about 15 euros. Now, it’s a bit on the pricier side than what I would normally pay for a moisturizer, but I think it’s worth it when you want something good.
My overall opinion:
At first, I wasn’t that impressed with this moisturizer, because I figured it’s only a basic hyaluronic acid gel-cream. But, after a week of using it, I see the appeal of it. It really does a great job at moisturizing the skin because when the skin is proper moisturized it’s plump and the fine lines are not as noticeable as usual and even in the morning, my skin still feels well moisturized. I like it a lot because since it has a light texture, it’s suitable for oily and combination skin as well.
That being said, I do like it and I’m thinking about repurchasing it in the future, especially since there are often all kinds of sales on Rilastic products in the pharmacy. For example, this month there is a sale on certain products, including this gel-cream that allows you to buy two of the same products at the price of one.
Therefore, I do recommend this gel-cream and I think that sometimes those that appear to be the most basic products are the ones that can truly make a difference on the skin.
