Dearest readers (or if we were in the Bridgerton universe, you would be ”dearest gentle readers”), I came to the decision to close my blog. It’s been almost 8 years since I started this (and it wasn’t my first blog, mind you), because I felt the need to share my reviews on beauty products.

Over time, I had hoped that this blog would pick up, so that I could turn my passion for beauty into something lucrative, but that wasn’t the case. And I get it, I don’t bring anything new to the table, I don’t have the time working full time jobs that were most of the time exhausting to come up with creative ideas, to take the time to create beautiful pictures or to run social media accounts.

Therefore, I just don’t have the energy anymore to invest my time into this blog. I have the domain paid until July, so the blog will be available until then, but I won’t continue to pay for it, so it will probably go down.

I couldn’t even get brand deals at least to be able to do reviews on new products because I don’t get a lot of traffic and I can’t afford to shop for prodcuts just to have some new content for the blog.

I want to thank the person who did the only donation that I received since last year that I implemented this option, but unfortunately it’s not enough to cover the costs of maintaining the blog. Plus, I lost some money for commissions because I had another donor that changed their mind and I had to send their money back, plus to pay the PayPal commission out of my pocket. So I’m removing the donation option all together because I really can’t afford to lose more money right now. But, thanks again to that one person who wanted to support me. I highly appreciate it!

That being said, I don’t want to turn this into a pity party. This was just a hobby and I don’t have the motivation and joy to continue with it.
