If there is one thing I like about taking a bath is having all kinds of scented products that help me relax and have a truly pampering experience. Although I like shower gels when I take a quick shower in the morning or when I’m in a hurry, I love using soaps when I take a bath and especially natural soaps. I find that natural soaps don’t make my skin go dry and they contain a lot of great ingredients to hydrate the skin, leaving it nice and soft.
Currently, the soap I’m using is from a Hungarian brand called Floran’s. The soap’s name is Angel’s Silk and the producer says it brings back Christmas fragrances because it contains orange, cinnamon and cloves. I don’t think it’s particularly a Christmas soap, because the scent also reminds me of almonds, which I could swear was written on the package but unfortunately I haven’t kept it. Speaking of the packaging, all of Floran’s soaps come in beautifully decorated cardboard packaging that reminds me of vintage toiletries.

The soap had a very strong scent at the beginning. After I had left it in the bathroom, it smelled like almonds in there for days, or even weeks. Unlike other natural soaps that have a softer texture and I use them up faster than normal soaps, this one is doesn’t lather up as much and that’s why I think I have it for a couple of months now and there’s still plenty of it left.
What I love is also the story behind the product. Floran’s is a small family owned business. They use quality natural ingredients and each soap contains 100% certified pure pistachio oil and organic shea butter. The soaps are triple milled, so that they are long-lasting and contain high concentrations of plant-based active substances.
There aren’t many other soaps from this brand, but I definitely want to try their floral soaps in rose, tuberose and magnolia, because I like the smell of all these flowers.
Floran’s soaps are found here in Romania in certain pharmacies that sell natural products and in various online shops. Like any other natural soaps, they are a little more expensive, but still affordable. I payed for the Angel’s Silk soap approximately 4 euros.
